4 Girls Falsely Cry Rape - Cabbie Has Incident On Video

Could have ruined his life if that camera wasn't there..
lavollsays...

so selfish. ready to ruin a guys life over nothing, and at the same time probably making it harder for girls who have been raped for real. selfish idiots who thinks the world revolves around them, making the world a worse place one selfish bitch act at the time.

Paybacksays...

The assumption of entitlement of this generation makes me sick. Spoiled brats.

Oh, and the cops obviously were thinking with their dicks. Even Edmonton and Alberta have laws against baring false witness and abuse of process.

I so hope he indeed does go to civil court and indeed does get $60K worth of damages out of them. I hate a litigious society as much as the next guy, but these little spoiled brats who thought their not being able to smoke in a cab was worth ruining a guy's life NEED to be hit where it hurts, and that comes in the form of money. (Unless they have rich dickhead parents who just pay it and say 'oh you poor dears, what a mean cab driver')

Really, utterly, utterly disgusting. AND as lavoll said, they're making it far harder for girls who really are molested. There's already enough of these cases for people to start to question anyone who cries rape, and this just makes it so, so much harder.

What disgusting people they are.

I had a acquaintance in college get nailed with a false rape charge. Apparently his ex-girlfriend got jealous that he was dating another girl and decided to accuse him of rape (at a party were a lot of his friends could verify his location). Despite the fact that the case was dismissed in court the student still lost his student apartment and had to fight his expulsion when the Dean of admissions decided to make an example of him.

Sad thing is after 6 years I would still hear rumors that he had gotten away with raping someone.

ShakyJakesays...

"According to a police report filed on the incident, one of the young women contacted police the next morning to say they were very sorry for the trouble she and her friends caused and that they would not be pursuing any charges."

The wording on that made me snicker a bit. So very gracious of them, not to pursue the rape charge after all. I just can't believe that this kind of behavior isn't illegal itself, considering the HUGE consequences it could have had were there not proof to the contrary. I even looked up Crystal Magnum from the Duke Lacross incident to see what happened to her, and sure enough she's under no charges.

Since nobody has commented on this I'm gonna redact it as it was full of misogynistic language. Reading it back a day later it seemed to be written by a real shithead. I need to get off the internet!

notarobotsays...

I don't really care if the guy wins the case or not, but I hope that the liars stain remains on the four girls for a long time, and that they enjoy their time in court. They clearly need to learn something about the world.

These girls should not be raped. What the hell is wrong with you people? What they did was very wrong, but that kind of comment is a disgrace.

Absolutely right. What these girls did was deplorable, despicable, disgraceful and outright disgusting. But to say they should be raped crosses a line that no citizen in a civil society should ever cross.

That's not justice.

But having their parents pay out the nose for what they could have done had they not been caught on camera, I guess that's justice. I dunno. They certainly should pay, that's for sure, but 60 large seems a bit arbitrary. I personally think they need to do something more... a few thousand hours of community service seems like a nice touch... especially if it includes some lectures to other young women about the consequences of falsely accusing someone of sexual assault.

Jeez, I'd make a terrible judge.

MaxWildersays...

I think community service at a safe house for rape victims would be the most appropriate. It would teach them how bad things can actually get, and maybe then they'd have a little respect for the accusations they made so lightly.

WTF, how else do you teach people not to cry wolf? One sure way to teach them the importance of such charges is to show them why you don't lie about that shit.

its STUPID BITCHES like these who give girl everywhere a bad rep.

You and the people who upvoted this comment are fucking lacking.

Why? Because you're a fucking idiot? These brats and girls like them DO give normal woman a bad rep. I suppose that is not bloody obvious to you. Unless of course you just hate woman and assume ALL girls are like that. I'm a guy, and I can't stand pieces of SHIT who don't have a clue/ a hope with girls, and think that all girls are the dumb vacant fuck ups you find at clubs. Now I'm assuming a lot from your comment, heck you could be a girl yourself, but WTF.

You could also be commenting on the 'its' and the 'girl'. Yes state that people are 'lacking' over typos or not noticing them? Make you feel good? Yeah you fucking rock don't you? Go fuck yourself.

It's like when they make police officers that have tasers feel the effect of the tasers before using them. Now we should make them feel what rape feels like before they cry "rape".

MrFisksays...

I was involved in an incident where a girl claimed rape after a mini-orgy in my friend's attic. Two chicks and two guys, although the other guy only got a blowjob. Anyways, one of the girl's boyfriends somehow heard about the night. She said, "rape". Fortunately, for me, the other girl verified to the aforementioned, enraged football player that she was there and everything was more than consensual. And that's why I'm always trying to fuck at least two chicks at the same time and/or film it.

omnistegansays...

Absolutely bitches. However, I'm not sure he deserves a $60,000 settlement. He has the camera there exactly for situations like this, so he can prevent himself being charged, not so he can milk a years salary out of a few Edmonton girls.

EmptyFriendsays...

I've always believed (although I only really thought about it with the Duke lacrosse team rape lies) that anyone found to have lied about being raped should receive the punishment that the accused rapist would have gotten.

Attempted rape/molestation of 4 people would result in a pretty hefty punishment.

That being said, I don't think the girl(s) making the claim were doing it seriously... just trying to give the cab driver an even harder time. The video doesn't say but I'd be curious to find out if they really kept up this lie in the presence of the police. Either way it is a serious issue and they deserve to pay him the 60k each, but if they also then lied to officers I have no problem with jail time.

It should be a felony to make those kinds of false accusations.

Welcome to Canada. Let me point to cc.140(a) Public Mischief, luckily up here we don't have this thing called felonies. On the other hand, getting the police to nail them with a 140 is a bit more difficult. It's much easier for him to go with a civil suit, than dealing with the courts on a criminal offence.

Sagemindsays...

From Comments on Youtube:

From the Criminal Code:

Public mischief

140. (1) Every one commits public mischief who, with intent to mislead, causes a peace officer to enter on or continue an investigation by
(a) making a false statement that accuses some other person of having committed an offence;

Punishment
(2) Every one who commits public mischief
(a) is guilty of an indictable offence and liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years; or
(b) is guilty of an offence punishable on summary conviction.

Quote from the video - "Police decided though to close down the case saying there wasn't enough evidence either way..."

Stupid bloody Edmonton cops, they got evidence handed to them on a silver platter.

Well yes and no. They have a good amount of evidence, proving the Facts and Issues of a 140 is a lot more difficult than just having the video on this. There's quite a bit, but nailing someone with a 140 is more tedious in Canada then you'd believe.

I really can't say what the full investigative route was neither can you. Unless you're a member of the Edmonton PD. If you are then I'm sure you can enlighten us. But if we look at the F&I, mislead(sure), causes a peace officer to enter(sure), making a false statement(possibly) now the question is did they make a statement or did they simply file a complaint? See this is the problem. If they only filed a complaint then we no longer have all the F&I, and as such no go with the charge. On the other side, it may be possible for the police to recoup the dispatch costs from the girls.
