Wedding Ring Exchange FAIL (0:44)

I don't think so. It's hard to imagine going through all of that for a youtube clip. Matching bridesmaids dresses, groomsmen, band in the background etc and the guy takes a pretty hard fall. Looks like he was busy checking out the hottie in yellow and ...

vairetubesays...

the fake fall; the slight zoom as the incident occurs; the perfect calmness of the camera person; the underreaction of the bridesmaids; the lack of swearing; the priest seems iffy; most of all, how fake it is really cinches it for meh

lucidgroovesays...

If you play it back slowly, the best man trips, the groom tries to help him, the bride falls, the priest tries to catch her but goes in too, then the groom tries to grab the priests hand. Seems real to me.

That's funny but I don't want to add tags that give anything away

campion's comment at the start has the same effect, but I'm not complaining.
Looks staged but hilarious even if so. Nice.

Yeah, I hear ya, but a lot of people watch videos here without even opening them in a separate tab, their own window, whatever. It's a big reason why dupes sit here for a long time (people see the video but not the comments). The tags are visible though no matter where you view it.

the sound is too good. you can hear EVERYTHING. When the guy faceplants he lands then grabs at the brides feet and she falls from that? Doesnt seem likely. And the priest doesnt look like he would fall either from that. He grabs the bride and goes down w/ her when it looks like neither one received enough knock back to even stumble.

Quboidsays...

Too much fail to be fake IMHO, you wouldn't fake something that epic. I tend to give videos the benefit of the doubt. As for the camera work, well it's probably a professional wedding video photographer. You could hear some laughing and I expect plenty more followed once it was clear they were OK.

*walks to door*

Just one more thing ... I think the bride reacts to the falling "best" man and without thinking, steps back, taking the priest, who automatically tried to catch her, into the pool.

I could care less whether it's fake or not. It's fucking funny.

That mistake grinds my tuna as well. I especially hate when people get into an accident say the cop was going to charge them with "driving with undue care and attention" which means they were TOO FUCKING CAREFUL. It's "driving withOUT DUE care and attention", ffs.

>> ^campionidelmondo:
The groom should've just jumped into the pool as well, seeing as the bride and priest were in there already.

Definitely would have been the romantic thing to do.

I notice no one else noticed this gives new meaning to the term, "taking the plunge"...

the fall seems fake and all the 'oh my god' chanting seemed insincere. the footage seemed intentionally grainy and shaky, which struck me as odd given the overall expensive look of the setting.

Deanosays...

The falls look real to me if only because it's so easy for people to lose balance and footing if they're panicking or anticipating a collision.

On the other hand who the hell puts the ceremony on some board atop the edge of a swimming pool?

I'm undecided.

ShakaUVMsays...

Hmm, could be real. The best man's foot (probably not used to formal shoes) slipped on the step, he bounced into her legs, the pastor bent over to help him, with his arms around the bride, she fell backwards and in. The sound of shock is pretty real too.

That said, the hesitation on the part of the best man, and the fact that it pans out to look at him before it's his turn to act means it could be a fake as well.

I'm getting married in 3 weeks. Remind me to not do it right next to the pool.

Don't you have some papers to grade?

This.. the whole things seems a setup.. one Bridesmaid? One Groomsman? The pratfall... Really does ring fake.

Or maybe they hired a professional to film their wedding.
Who knows, I think it's a funny clip in any event.

I agree. Any pro or half-competent amateur would keep it together for an unexpected event like that. You're on auto-pilot, just keep filming and filming no matter what.

I see multiple bridesmaids in yellow.

burdturglersays...

There's several bridesmaids that come into view after the splash. With matching dresses. It's probably the first time this guy wore something besides a pair of flip flops. He was nervous, occupied with the hot lady on the left, and slipped. And I doubt it was done as a joke at the end of a real wedding. What new bride would risk ruining her wedding dress?
I don't think the person who put this on YouTube had any intention for it to spread all over. He had embedding disabled, but someone else captured it and hosted it.

lol! Epic Fail FTW!!

I think She steps back to avoid him tearing her dress, but she forgets theres a ledge.

either way STFU about fake/not fake - it doesn't matter it's freakin hilarious!!

No, it really does matter.

Things like this are hugely different in humour etc. if they are real vs. setup. If setup then you can go 'oh, someone had the idea this would be funny and spent ages setting it all up etc.'. If real then you could go 'Oh geeze, that's kinda funny, but horrible at the same time, my god she had to be mighty pissed off with that'.

It DOES matter, if you get to the point where you don't give a fuck whether what you watch is real or not... then quite frankly stop bothering to vote, become a mass consumer and stay out of any important decisions on anything because you apparently don't care about reality anymore, and are more than happy to be fed bullshit from anyone.

You know, as long as you're entertained, then it's all hunky dory for you.
