Cops vindicated by dashcam

Sometimes, dashcams and bodycams catch police in their worst behavior. But a video released on Tuesday shows police in Tenafly, New Jersey exercising remarkable restraint in the face of badgering by Caren Turner, a commissioner from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Turner suddenly resigned last week.

God, I love this video...
The two officers obviously handled the situation grade-A-textbook-style, and hearing, that she resigned last week, just adds the icing on the cake.

Shame on them? Shame on her!

Good to know that one less power-abusing person is off the back of those, trying to do their job, on a close to minimum wage.

"Inexcusable" is how the port authority described this.
She's a disappointment.
She apparently resigned before they could remove her....the only smart move she made here.
Bye Felicia.

I would love to see the report she filed, it's clear she didn't consider it might be on camera.

They denied her of her illusion of power over them. That had to hurt the ole ego.
Her only option was to leave them a kind goodbye and a threat.

Yep. One of my fundamental beliefs is that if people who use the phrase (or some variant thereof ) "do you know who I am" are almost invariably fucking assholes.

Basically, if you really are as important/powerful/scary/rich/famous/whatever as you think.... they will already know who you are. The very fact you're asking negates the goddamn question.

Sheesh, the level of self importance she displayed.

Ya, I got a walk-this-straight-line-before-I-let-you-drive-your-MIT-and-Yale-babies-in-your-car vibe too.

Indulging in the sacrament she had, I think.

I think she seems under the influence of something

and she's an asshole

wtfcaniusesays...

I think it's largely arrogance and ego. You can tell she's not used to people who stand up to her. She also seems delusional in regards to her precious MIT and Yale students somehow being above the law.
