This Is Why You're Fat

Well, not you specifically, sifters, but seriously? Bacon and cheese wrapped in fried chicken?

Actual "sandwich" is much less appetizing than the commercial:

WHAT! Is this real? Why isn't this in my stomach right now?? I'd head down to the local KFC post-haste, but we tend to get new fast food stuff late, if ever here in stupid lousy Canada.

Meh. That's nothing compared to my bacon salad sandwhich.

Chopped bacon and mayonnaise salad with two slices of cheese on bread. I'd even say that my cheese stuffed pork loaf beats that chicken sandwhich. The trick is to cook the pork loaf in one of those clay pot contraptions so it stews in it's own fat.

Think I'm kidding?

ug,i fyou guys understood nutrition, you would know that this makes one less fat then the average sandwich. Likely more unhealthy, yes, but more fattening, no, this contains very little carbs, which are the cause of the fattening

I'm fat because I don't exercise and basically never get around to eating during the day until about 15 minutes before going to bed, when I'll eat mass quantities.

Next time some asshole Right Winger whines "WHY DO WE NEED A HEALTH PLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN?", I'm going to show him this abortion of the food industry and point out, "BECAUSE WE EAT SHIT LIKE THIS, YOU SQUARED-HEADED, IN-BRED, SINGLE-DIGIT-IQ'D PRODUCTION OF A FAILING EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM IN A DECAYING EMPIRE POPULATED BY DOLTS AND ASSHOLES JUST LIKE -YOU-."

Then it's right to the roof with the rifle, a bag of crank and a bottle of Yukon Jack -- OMFG H4X AND BREAKING NEWS!

Pizza's actually worse, since it usually contains loads of carbs in white bread form.

Funny. They've been telling us for the last several years that 70% of our carbs should be coming from bread products.

I know this is terrible and all, but KFC set the bar pretty high (low?) with their 'Famous Bowls', which Patton Oswalt described pretty accurately, though he failed to mention that they also top it with cheese.

I'm only somewhat ashamed to admit that, once I overcame the initial fear and repulsion...they're actually quite good.

Wow put down the south beach diet book and do some actual research. Sitting on your ass inhaling ho-hos is fattening. Intaking 858 fat and protein calories in one meal...won't break your belt in a day, but if you plan on using that protein, you need carbs in your diet. They say about 2 grams of carbs per 1 gram of protein.

Where is that from? It may be true in a general sense, but from most of what I've read a person's ideal ratio of carbs to protein depends very strongly on how much (and what kind of) activity they are involved in. Someone who works out intensely 60+ minutes per day will have a different ratio need than someone who jogs 30 minutes three times a week.

When talking about carbs, it's also important to include their glycemic index (a measure of how fast they absorb into the body). As a matter of general health, it is much better to eat carbs that absorb slowly in order to avoid spiked insulin levels. I prefer high GI (fast absorption) foods directly after an intense workout, but otherwise I try to stay away from them.

The "food" in this video is unhealthy for many reasons, but I wouldn't include calories in that list. If someone eats more calories than they burn then they will gain weight, whether it's cheeseburgers or vegetables.

However, if you really look into how the chemicals in this type of food affects the human body then it would probably scare the hell out of you, even if you have a "healthy" body fat percentage. It may taste good, but it is basically legal poison. A more appropriate title might be "this is why you have health problems at age 40".
