TheGenksays...Suddenly wobotzz!
and *wilhelm
siftbotsays...Invocations (wilhelm) cannot be called by TheGenk because TheGenk is not privileged - sorry.
Djevelsays...I guess when you come from a country with an overpopulation problem, the extreme loss of life isn't really that absurd.
"Hey! 480 people just died in the last 30 minutes from a crazed, homicidal replicating robot! Looks like the police department has a couple of job openings! Verah nice!"
NicoleBeesays.......wow
probiesays...Imagine someone in 1911 looking at this movie and trying to figure out what's going on.
Now imagine what
moviesdigital experience implants will be like in 2111.
RadHazGsays...I assume the title of the movie is "Deus Ex Machina"? Loving the skunk stripe for added hipness feel.
antsays...*comedy *asia
Nice and funny!!
siftbotsays...Adding video to channels (Asia, Comedy) - requested by ant.
direpicklesays...What language is this dubbed into? There's a guy talking over everybody. Also, PHYSICS DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY.
shagen454says...See, I'm glad the US outsourced their jobs to India. More frivolous action movies for everyone!!!

it's a typical Russian dub.
in Russia unofficial/semi-official movies are almost always translated by a single guy with a clothespin on his nose.
dagsays...Comment hidden because you are ignoring dag.(show it anyway)
As cheesy at it is - there's some kind of disturbingly cool CGI going on here.
nothingbotsays...3:45 to 4:05 reminds me of Buckyballs (or Zen Magnets)
Boing Boing says:
Behold, a trailer for எந்திரன் (Enthiran aka The Robot), a blockbuster Tamil science fiction film released in October
Opus_Moderandisays...The robot's image so reminds me of Riki Takeuchi, especially in Takeshi Miike's Dead or Alive: Final... This also seems like a movie Miike would make... or at least appreciate.
urbanfractalsays...In case anyone is wondering, the movie is called Endhiran (2010).
It has a 7.210 in IMDB (5,442 votes) and 4.2/5 on Rotten Tomatoes (1070 ratings).
Can be found in all the usual places
EmptyFriendsays...not a dupe, but i believe this is another trailer for the same movie:

DarkenRahlsays...The skunk robot in leather is wearing heelys!
misterwightsays...It's like they got 100 5-year-old boys to pen a script, and didn't make any alterations at all.
HaricotVertsays...Plus it has Aishwarya Rai as the female lead, so how can you go wrong?
zeoverlordsays...Just brilliant, a terminator made of terminators, Hollywood needs to get on this right away.
Deanosays...>> ^HaricotVert:

Indeed, here's a more visually appealing link;
Aishwarya Rai
spoco2says...I usually find these bollywood things to be tiresome bores. But this was genuinely imaginative and entertaining. The portion with the ball was very nicely done.
TheSluiceGatesays...I was beaten to posting this earlier. Mega upvote. Despite it's cheesyness there's something genuinely fun and imaginative about this that beats any recent action movie I've seen.
Trancecoachsays...In the way that Charlie Chaplin's film, Modern Times offered a *parody-ied insight into the implications of the industrial revolution, so too did I notice here some interesting (albeit absurd and exaggerated) considerations posited on the impact of digital culture, artificial intelligence, augmented reality, et. al. on our humanity. With every technology comes an incomparable cost.
siftbotsays...Adding video to channels (Parody) - requested by Trancecoach.
MaxWildersays...Ok, lots of points for creativity, but minus several thousand points for implausibility.
Sketchsays...Thank you, Shankar! My mind is sufficiently blown! Go, go Gadget skates!
notarobotsays...This robot is an insane uncle-gadget/terminator/voltron/magneto/replicator/robocop/agent-smith/i-robot of murderous rampaging doom.
If you need me, I'll be in my time machine, heading for when this all blows over.
antsays...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bRaWoN6lRiI for 2.75 hours movie from http://www.boingboing.net/2011/01/27/repost-indias-most-e.html#comment-1008538 ...
Truckchasesays...If Agent Smith were this creative...
GDGDsays...THE END
?
MarineGunrocksays...I'd watch it.
raviolisays...Cirque du Soleil for robots!
9547bissays...At first, when watching the highway scene, I thought it was a sequel in spirit to this.
bmacs27says...So I just watched the movie, having been inspired by this clip. I'll tell you, the movie is more i-Robot than terminator in a lot of ways. For instance, the movie is 3 hours long, and this 10 minute clip had about 50% of the real action scenes in it. There are a number of other more Matrix style action scenes with a single robot, and a bunch of scrubs, but otherwise it's wysiwyg. There are about 20 of your typical bollywood song and dance numbers (which is not to be scoffed at, considering it generally constituted Ms. Rai dancing and dressing suggestively).
Still, I think it was better at being i-Robot than i-Robot was, largely because of the 20 minutes of CG filled gratuitous action. So long as you go into it appropriately inebriated and prepared to laugh, it's worth filling a rainy day with.
