Angry Grandpa learns a life lesson

Aniatariosays...

I honestly don't know why people paint this picture of gay guys being weak and helpless. Half the guys I know could easily kick my ass.

And not only because they're cut & jacked, but because they've probably taken a lot more sh*t over the years than I ever have, or ever will.

mxxconsays...

So if that guy didn't fight back, you'd still be going around robbing, beating and assaulting homosexuals?
And now you don't do it not because it's morally wrong, but because you are afraid they'll kick your ass?

I'm happy to say grandpa that you are a piece of shit human being! You were shit back then and you are still shit now.

Turn it off ... turn it off! The guys an a-hole. Just more homophobic now than he was before ... if you believe what redneck a-holes say.

srsly, you think he's one of the good guys now?

I think in his own special way he's trying to say, don't judge a gay book by it's sparkly cover. He's telling a story that makes him look weak, I imagine if he had a problem with gay people now, he'd not embarrass himself by telling this tale, especially the bit where he begs him to stop. He's clearly got a personality disorder of some description, so I don't think we're ever going to hear him say anything remotely PC. Let's not forget, plenty of men who do stupid things and have stupid beliefs as boys, grow up and out of it.

Even if this is fake, in fact especially if this is fake, I reckon he's attempting to be pro homo

no more bullying, yet you still label them 'queers'. (sure that won't anger any more gay people.

as i understand it, "queer" is a generally non-offensive label, much like if he just called him "a gay."

It has been reclaimed to some extent, but "queer" is definitely still offensive IMHO.

It's kind of ironic, this guy's homophobia was "cured" in the same way sexual reorientation camps "cure" gay people - by having their natural manner forcibly put into the closet.

man, some serious judgmental fucks in this thread =(

Yah, to be fair they only assaulted him because they wanted his money, not because he was gay. I mean, they thought the fact he was gay made him an easier target but thats not WHY they picked up and smacked him around wit a monkey wrench. Not a homophobe, just a coward and an asshole.

Funny that the content of his story teach us not to judge a book by its cover whilst simultaneously filling in enough pages to make judging him oh so easy :3

Nah, it's cool. My gay friend tells me they're trying to take the word back. More importantly, the guy is clearly endowing the word with respect. See "Queer Theory" and "Queer Studies".

Anything that teaches you to stick up for the little guy is good.

Being a bully who suddenly finds the shoe on the other foot should do the trick for even the dumbest of motherfuckers.

The attack wasn't gay-bashing, but he comes across as homophobic as well.

Norm MacDonald has a hilarious bit about how it's now gay guys who are the kings of the gym.

I think this video shows an honest guy who's willing to show his homophobia but also enlightened enough to allow experience to change his world view. He said "I'll stick up for the gay guy." If he means that then I don't see how you can say he's all bad. People are not obligated to like homosexuality in accepting it.

d3n4l1says...

He's trying to have his cake and eat it too. He's trying to be accepting of homos, and be a bigot too. This level of piss-warm "good" performance expectation comes from communities where they teach you how to clean roadkill for dinner and wash it down with moonshine to kill what you didn't cook off right. It ain't even safe for himself, God help him.
