thealisays...That happen because the slide is not all made from the same material. One strip has more friction, while the other is more slippery causing the kid to wobble, poor guy

It's like when you have the clutch on a manual transmission engaged, and hit the gas pedal, but the acceleration pulls you away from the pedal, which slows the car suddenly, which pushes you into the pedal, which makes the car accelerate, which pulls you away from the pedal...
Jinxsays...A perfect example of the resonant frequency of a typical toddler, or the harmonics of the slide. We salute you for your brave contributions to science lil guy.

lucky760says...This makes me mad and upset because I imagine that happening to either of my sons and it hurts to imagine feeling so helpless to do anything to save him from his head banging against the sides like that, and I hate that the dad's reaction was to just continue standing there recording, saying nothing, and laughing to himself at the child.
I mean fuck.

Stormsingersays...I'd usually agree with you, but some childhood accidents/events are just going to happen (and from a developmental standpoint, probably -need- to happen). At least in this case, he wasn't hitting anything hard enough to do any actual damage. He wasn't even crying, just rubbing his head and looking confused.
In my experience every older brother has smacked the back of a younger brother's head harder than this. Which could be argued to be worse, being intentional rather than accidental.

BoneRemakesays...* Generalized comment about helicopter parents and parenting in general and how it is detrimental to a childs upbringing. *
gargoylesays...This had two nine-year-old boys in stitches, laughing uncontrollably, yet also feeling sorry for the poor little tyke. Compassion was there, but they laughed and laughed...
Retroboysays...Weebles wobble when they go slide down?
