ravermansays...That's the largest i think I've seen in one of these videos.
I'm kinda surprised they're just doing it at home getting drunk.
Dude, you have a huge infected hole in your arm - you need that wound properly cleaned, dressed and sanitized and then you need a course of antibiotics.
residuesays...wow. i wonder what happens if you just leave those suckers in there

i assume they work their way up your spinal chord and eat your brains, but i could be wrong.
islaywombatssays...What part of his body were those in? Did he say "face" at the end?

your arm gets horribly infected as they start to eat their way out, parts of the skin and arm itself will die, until eventually the damage will be too severe and your arm would need to be amputated.
TickleMyElmosays...The dude manning the tweezers seemed to know what he was doing. The pain assessment is a common medical practice, and he was ready with proper gauze after the removal. I'm guessing he's just friends with his doctor, hence the casual atmosphere.
castlessays...This was literally jaw dropping.
Hybridsays...All in his left arm. It shows you the first two holes next to each other on his left elbow. The other one is the first one they take out, on the inside of the same arm.

Tymbrwulfsays...Surprised his doctor's didn't diagnose it sooner. They teach you about the botfly in tropical and infectious diseases.

Speaking of which... where's Kirk Cameron to tell me that God invents all life with our benefit in mind?
Then again, maybe God wanted us to all get together on a Friday night, get drunk, and yell "OOOOOHH! DUUUDE!" as we pull botfly larvae out of each other's backs. I take it back... clearly this is part of God's plan!
ponceleonsays...Had to come back... watched it like 10 minute ago and was doing some work and just feeling uneasy... thought about it for a second and realized that I still have that skin-crawling heebee-jeebee feeling. Damn this video, I feel icky!!!

Uh, no...
They stay in there for 6-10 weeks and you have a large, painful boil. Once they reach their third larval stage they drop out and burrow into the ground.

Are. They are here in Brisbane- as an introduced pest. They are trying to wipe them out, but I think it's a losing battle.>> ^sillybapx:
