Maybe if they didn't let crash test dummies operate all their equipment there wouldn't be so many accidents. Those guys are just doing what they were made to do.

I've nailed quite a few thousand nails in my life, i've missed some, I've hit my hands on occasion, but never have I missed and made the nail bounce up, turn 180° and jump up into my eye.

Quite possibly, I'm one of the lucky ones.

Yes, but probably not exactly as it happened in the video.

It's pretty easy to send a nail flying sideways at high speeds by hitting it badly. All it would have to do is deflect off something else near the impact to redirect it toward the person's face.

It probably wouldn't stab in as far as in the video, but it doesn't take much to blind a person. Eye protection is a good idea in general.
