Fantastic. Flies like a bat out of hell. I can imagine so many applications for this. Autonomous pizza delivery springs to mind. 10 minutes, or your money back.

Am I the only one who thought of one hundred and 50 of these in a fleet attached to myself via harness and flying around.

All I can think of for applications to this thing, is strapping a bomb on in, and hiding 10 of them all around a city with a timer that goes off at the same time and GPS coordinates to their target.

How do you defend against something like that? It's like a low-cost guided missile.

It looks like it has an incredible amount of power and is very resistant to turbulance. I wonder what happens if it loses a rotor though... Perhaps the one on the opposite side would also shut down to maintain balance?

one of those things that at first looks relay crap but when its working turns into amazing.

I just checked their website. endurance is about 35min with no maneuvering, typically it is 20min. the costs for one to build (there are various, smaller models) is between 450 and 1000 Euro. You can get very detailed instructions to build one on their website.

btw there also is an Octo-Version ;-)

WHOA. WOW. WHOA. And I'm saying that after watching the first minute.

They could make such a kick ass sport with these things. They could make a basketball/soccer type game in a huge transparent dome arena; the controllers could play outside the dome with special scoped-glasses meant to see far distances. There'll probably be space in your town when Walmart's start shutting their doors (if they ever do).
