Is everyone ignoring me, or is it just Eklek?

Did somebody say something?

Concerning the video, some of these accidents seem somewhat unavoidable and just bad luck. But I guess there must be procedures for everything.

FUCKING HELL!!!!!!!

I'm not working there!!!
Where is this place?
Do they not know anything about work safety?!?!?!?

I do NOT consider this a very good advertisement.
Who the bugger-fuck-in-shitting-jesusing-crap-me-backwards-out-of-your-arse-and-then-mine-whilst-not-knowing-where-all-this-swearing-is-leading do they send these promotional materials to?

I don't even know where to begin with the list of complaints to make to the marketing department and PR departments about this video, let alone the health and safety people?!?!?

Sack all the still alive staff, and sue the relatives of the dead ones before they sue you.

And now they are all unemployed.
If they had been injured or killed on the job, at least they would have workman's comp or their family would have the insurance money.

spawnflaggersays...

I had the urge to continually say "OH SNAP!" after every incident in this video.

Someone should edit out all of the "experienced worker" dialog, and add a "Mentos, the Fresh Maker!" at the end of the video.

I've nailed quite a few thousand nails in my life, i've missed some, I've hit my hands on occasion, but never have I missed and made the nail bounce up, turn 180° and jump up into my eye.

Quite possibly, I'm one of the lucky ones.

RedSkysays...

What's the name of the state of mind where you're simultaneously laughing your ass off and completely and utterly scared shitless?

Well anyway, that's where I am.

>> ^thinker247:
Is it even physically possible to miss hitting a nail, then have that nail twist around and fly into your eye?

Yes, but probably not exactly as it happened in the video.

It's pretty easy to send a nail flying sideways at high speeds by hitting it badly. All it would have to do is deflect off something else near the impact to redirect it toward the person's face.

It probably wouldn't stab in as far as in the video, but it doesn't take much to blind a person. Eye protection is a good idea in general.

Deanosays...

Genius. I'm laughing my arse off here, surely *comedy.

I think someone took this and made those Final Destination films where Death comes up with increasingly elaborate ways of killing people.

Razorsays...

That losing the finger 'cuz of the ring is gonna give me nightmares. I know a guy who lost his finger that way, but never gave it much thought til I see that =(

But, as goofy as this video is, it has convinced me of the value of removing one's ring before doing any heavy work, just in case.
