Brazillian Transvestite Communication FAIL!

Funnier with every viewing.

The only thing I can think is that as a result of a cosmetic surgery, either the shaving of the adam's apple or perhaps an operation on the larynx to raise the pitch of her/his voice, something went horribly awry and now this person can't really speak properly.

That or they just have a SEVERE speech impediment.

For the sifter who thinks they've seen it all, we now present... (trumpet fanfare)
... the 'Deaf Brazilian Tranny Interview'

(subtitled '- Possibly Conducted After Throat Surgery')

you forgot 'toothless'

so it's 'Deaf Brazilian Toothless Tranny Interview'

Maybe someone that can speak Portuguese can translate...but I'm pretty sure we are dealing with a deaf person here. I'm not gonna WTF? or up-vote making fun of someone who is deaf.

Grimmsays...

You're right...the professional thing to do when interviewing someone that's deaf and has a speech impendement as a result is to say..."What?...huh?...I don't understand...wtf are you saying?"

Do you speak Portuguese? Perhaps that's why it's "completely unintelligible" to you but not for the reporter. The reporter is probably able to make out enough of the words to understand what is being communicated.>> ^rebuilder:
The WTF here isn't the transvestite's speech impediment, it's that the reporter pays no attention to the fact he's completely unintelligible.

I've considered that, but it doesn't seem likely. If its fake, they did an EXTREMELY good job. Everything matches up perfectly. There is even background noise the entire time that never stops. It would be extremely hard to keep the reporters audio and the background noise, but remove the original transvestite audio.

We need an explanation. Somebody has to be able to translate Portuguese right? And she's being interviewed because of something on Orkut, right?

>> ^deathcow:
looks fake? audio and mouth movements a bit off?

Ok, here's my best guess. This is what bablefish says:

"Adicione a comunidade da muda no orkut a bixa muda de Juazeiro-ce"
means:
"It adds the community of dumb in orkut bixa dumb of Juazeiro-ce"

I believe that muda means "dumb" as in "mute". People who cannot speak.

I've also found a article about the incidence. When translated, it mentions someone regretting the interview and something about people with hearing impairment.
http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=pt&tl=en&u=http://gentedemidia.blogspot.com/2008/10/leitor-traduz-linguagem-da-muda-de.html

So my best guess is that they were interviewing her for starting an Orkut community for mute people in Juazeiro, Brazil. So maybe the interviewer knew what to expect and that's why she wasn't reacting. Then the big question is, who's idea was it to do an interview?!

If I'm wrong, feel free to correct me.

Okay, so s/he's deaf, but I've never heard a deaf person speak so incredibly poorly... it sounds like s/he is just saying the same thing over and over with lots of smacks in between. So what's the other part of the story?

laurasays...

something like this:
reporter: "just look who we ran into ~ a mute transvestite" ~(that could be her nickname also)
bixa muda: "burg burg burg blah blah incoherence"
reporter: "so, you are very pretty, see, you're very well dressed...are you liking the dance so far?"
bixa muda: "burg burg....bur burg"
reporter: "do you come here every night?"
bixa muda: more burging
reporter: "ok well what thing do you most like about the dance so far?"
bixa muda: more enthusiastic burging
reporter: "send a kiss"

Oh, forgot: Can we please stop using that word that way? You know, the f-word. It's not a noun.

Wrong. "Fuck" is the most versatile word. "Fucking the fucking fuck" is a perfectly sound and valid sentence.

Hmm, I haven't heard that version... The one I have heard is "Fuck the fucking fuckers".
I guess you do learn something new everyday!

I am portuguese, so I understand what's going on in this video, and I can pretty much vouch for Laura's translation. It's completely unintelligible. I guess the reporter was expecting a bit more Marlee Matlin, and less of that.

Maybe she's saying "what? bitch, I'm deaf!".>> ^EMPIRE:
