YT: Its been eight long years since the boys said wassup to each other. Even with the effects of a down economy and imminent change in the White House, the boys are still able to come together and stay true to what really matters.

This is awesome!
I recognize the guys from the old commercials.
It would be great if they aired this as campaign ad on tv during super bowl

I certainly hope the campaign is over before the Superbowl!

He's probably a registered voter, too.

hah, the hurricane part was brillant.

I wouldn't put it past Anheuser-Busch to pull people into court if this were aired on tv...

... they should put this on tv.

The first guy on screen, who wrote and directed the original short "True" went on to do the spots for Bud, so the intellectual property is his, unless he signed it away to Bud.

Happy to see he has reclaimed his work and turned it to a better purpose than selling rice beer!

I actually reacted emotionally to this video. Somehow it underscored the seriousness of this election quite brilliantly.

Please, please, PLEASE don't fuck this election up America.

I'll do all I can to not fuck it up. Volunteering for Obama tomorrow.

look at what happens when talented people are allowed to do what the fuck they want, outside the limits of corporate money.

I wish Obama the best, but based on his policies, he's going to suck so bad, it'll just be change for the worse.

based on the strength of the argument you just made, i'll ignore it.

Same here, mate. Didn't read the tags, was enjoying myself immensely ... and then it got change'd.

Crap I hate these election ads in disguise. I was enjoying the social commentary for a while there.

If Obama loses, can we just release whatever nightmarish crap the Center for Disease Control keeps in that bunker in Atlanta? Four weeks of Captain Trips would be better than for years of McCain.

That's a clever retort, even though it made no sense.

It's been a while now, how's your opinion of Obama's economic policy so far?

What's up, B?

Change.

What?

I said Change, and then I smiled with new-found hope.

Found a job yet?

No. You?

Nope.

Man, I thought Obama was different.

Nope. He caved to the Republicans on the tax cut bill.

That's some bullshit, man.

Yeah. Wassup with that?

Same shit, different guy in charge.

Damn.

Good job. You're responding to something I wrote 2 years ago, so the question would need to be modified to being better off than you were 10 years ago -- not 8. But regardless, the fact of the matter is that whomever sits in office represents an administration by which decisions are made that have a real impact, either immediately or eventually, on what happens "on main street."

I didn't ask if you were "happier," which is not entirely dependent on external goods or accumulation. The expression, "better off" colloquially refers to financial wellbeing and was more rhetorical than anything else.

But take it as you will.

Are you better than you were 8 years ago?

I am. But, because of a combination of hard work and good fortune. Whoever sits in office seems to be unrelated to my happiness.

I am well aware that your question was two years old. To clarify, I am better off (and happier) than I was 8 years ago, 10 years ago, or even 1 or 20.

There are millions of people on this planet who lead happy successful lives with seemingly no correlation to whether or not their political candidate of choice gets elected. I strive to be one of those people.

Sorry if my response confused you.
