This is why I don't have kids

Fucking great parenting right there.

I know plenty of parents are okay with the "Go fuck yourself" approach to parenting (a.k.a. "hey kid, go live your own life; figure it out on your own, even if you're fucking 3"), but it disgusts me. I'd never ignore my sons (let alone watch and record to share with the world) as they assault one another.

Sorry, Mordhaus, but a spiritual -1 vote from me, but for the parent, not you.

Totally understandable. I also was wondering why the parent wasn't stepping in instead of filming.

Good parenting 101

When your children act out, don't forget to film it and post it on the Internet, that way when they're older you can just shrug and point to the video with the excuse, "He was always a bad kid... I mean, sorry he raped your daughter and all, but it's not my fault, some kids are just born that way."

I got no kids, but if I'm a parent, I will probably let them do what they do in the video for a bit... up to round 2~3... I guess? Then intervene & ask them what good does hurting each other achieve? If they feel good/bad? Love for each other much? etc. My point is any situation -- good or bad -- can be a learning moment for all involved.

How to parent is tough & complicated. Factor in how each kids are different in personality & temperament, it's hard to pass judgement without knowing them.

But filming? That's BS parenting right there.

I saw what I think, was the older child at one point, over exaggerating his pain.

I believe it was an attempt on his part to end the squabble by showing the younger kid that MORE than enough pain was inflicted, thus making the younger one feel victorious and ending the match.

But then the younger one gave it one last shot as a warning not to mess with him again.

The older one then returned the same message.

As long as it doesn't happen all the time or get out of hand, I think it's important to let the kids feel their emotions and then send them off to military school.

I really can't endorse having two children at one time. I mean, the choice to have one child is already a bit iffy, but this is just complete madness.

True, assuming it's parent recording the video. If it's an aunt or uncle or neighbor who's been railroaded into babysitting, all bets are off.

As a parent of only one kid, I've been lucky because my daughter never threw tantrums, probably due to the lack of an antagonistic sibling. Watching this though makes me wonder what sort of parent(s) these kids have. Parents should shut that shit down quickly and decisively - children learn what is appropriate, socially, by observation and being corrected by adults; this really isn't good conflict resolution. Yeah, siblings will fight over stupid stuff, but this sort of behaviour, if not corrected, will also probably extend to school and lead to negative interactions with their peers.
