Worst Twerk Fail EVER - Girl Catches Fire!

Twerking till you catch a fire!!
sanderbossays...

Obviously fake (clothes are more fire retardant than that), but really very very well done apart from the fire.
Usually there are multiple tells that a video was faked, but here it is only condensed story telling (the whole story is told from start to finish in 37 seconds, real life is a little more boring that), and from candles to full on torch in 2 seconds that gives it away.

chingalerasays...

@sanderbos, yer joking, right? Last time I checked a table fulla candles were flammable enough to ignite grain alcohol at 2600 °F (candle, burning match) and stunt-doubles were still cost-prohibitive for school chums or wage-slaves to afford.
That was a glass coffee table and that inordinately large ass may have had some cuts after that and those not from any editing suite.

Haven't you ever been in a stripper's apartment? They look just like this....cheap furniture, ghetto apartment, candles and bourbon on the table in the afternoon while practicing douchebag mating-rituals, etc.
Judging this fail ISU.....up-card, 9.6

Redsays...

Molten wax can take fire pretty dramatically in certain conditions, see here. Though I'd put my guest on the bottle of rhum on this one (for the fire and all that happens for that matter).

Jinxsays...

I can tell from some of the pixels and from seeing quite a few shops in my time.

So now I've read some more comments here and also on youtube on the video.
I stand by what I said in the second comment (also: only one video on the account, no info on the aftermath in the description, weird cut off moment of the video, candles on even though there is sunlight on the wall).

Having said all that, it is a puzzle, and I am not an authority on either fake videos or house fires. I mean, I was pointing out that I thought it was an *incredibly* good fake, so then it is not easy to detect it is fake (see e.g. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WDWCbYevSbI for a very bad fake incl. analysis).

Paybacksays...

You can see the booze bottle and FULL shot glass she falls on...

When people are doing a handstand and they fall over, isn't their natural instinct to collapse their arms, so they go into a roll?

That's particularly true when we know we're surrounded by glass tables.

She keeps her arms completely straight, so that she'd fall flat, straight onto the table (assuming it's not shopped in).

(This just adds one more unlikely variable that'd have to happen in order for this to occur in real life.

Shepppardsays...

The booze on the table would suggest that she's half in the bag already, and it also looks like she's already falling backwards before she could collapse her arms. Doesn't matter though, had she collapsed them or not, she was still going to fall backwards, and if her head was at the wrong angle that could be potentially worse than a leg on fire.

This one's actually pretty obvious! I didn't see it the first time, but she pushes hard on the door with her foot to make the fall onto the table.

Sniper007says...

Yes. She does push off quite hard. She wasn't even off balance.

Jinxsays...

I'd say judging from the way she falls she is actually on a different planet. Do the calculations, you'll find that it becomes pretty apparent that she is an environment with about 5.4% less gravity. In addition analysis of the flame suggests a higher level of atmospheric oxygen. The only possible planet with these characteristics in our Solar system is the anti-earth Nibiru, the planet hiding behind the sun that will soon obliterate us. I can only surmise that this "woman" is in fact a harbinger of the end times. Heed their warnings and please donate generously to me so that I may build an ark that will save humanity.

rebuildersays...

The natural instinct for some is to keep the head as far from the ground as possible. Collapse your arms and do it wrong, you'll end up ramming your noggin into the ground with your whole body behind it.

I've "instinctively" found myself doing both (at different times). Controlled falls hurt a lot less.

Not having been in this position I can't say for sure but I think my instinct would be to unbutton and yank my pants off at panic speed, rather than continue to back up and scream at the flames. We will find out next year that it was staged, just like the "best man" that was making cartoon eyes at the bridesmaid and then knocked the bride and minister into the water. I knew that one was fake right off.

Velocity5says...

I just did a handstand and simulated falling over.

I think there's no way anybody would keep their arms straight.

Our bodies are extremely wary of letting out bodies slam into the ground, full impact, with our arms as a fulcrum. When we're next to a glass table (!), that instinct is even more pronounced.

Once we're tipping over upside-down, our bodies instinctively crumple to return to the ground and avoid the body slam.

This just adds to the already large number of improbabilities that have to occur in order for this video to be real.

That's great, your reflexes are in line with survivability.

That said... I used to spend time with people learning to do handstands, and I've seen people do a lot of *very* weird things when they start to fall over from. I've done some stupid stuff myself in that situation. Once, I think I fell onto my shoulders, then rebounded via a kind of backflip onto my feet. I think it's one of those things some people learn readily, and others have a hard time wrapping their head around. Hilarity may ensue.

Anyway, going further off-topic: if you want to learn to do a handstand, my recommendation is to start with learning how to fall from one!
