I'm Listening to What You're Saying But I Hear What I Want

Quite a few gems in this clip, from a special episode of "Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?"

I personally believe that this is why US Americans need maps, so we can help the hungry children and education such as Turkey and the France, everywhere like such as. I believe our education over here should help the U.S., or help the France and the Asian countries so we will be able to build up our future for our children.

People, people, people... These shows have producers... they pick people that they know will cause reactions like this. They got a winner here, it would be boring if they just picked "normal" people. Also the producers will encourage these people to play up certain characteristics to help the show be interesting.

Look at shows like the "Amazing Race" .. A goth/glam couple? Wearing full goth garb on the trip? PA-LEEESE!

i absolutely agree to youdiejoe, but nevertheless i think statements like this ("i thought europe is a country") could be the side effect of constantly reffering to "europe" instead of particular countries. it's really annoying if you speak with someone from the US and they mix in everything they know in a big pot called "europe". "I've been to europe" is what i hear often, or something like "over there in europe". It is soooo annoying...

Some of my smartest friends are blonde women. No seriously. There's one who got early at Bard, and Ursinus and another, who, although may be setting her sights a little low, is in top classes and a few AP's.
But seriously. Where do all the "retarded" hot people come from? Do they breed? is there some kind of facility?

She HAS to be acting that stupid, SURELY?

Please?

Surely?

Now, I'm no geography wizz by ANY standards, and I may well have got that question wrong. Although I know that Europe is not a country, and that at least Hungary exists. It's the combination of the stupid comments and general reveling in ones own stupidity that smacks of an act.

I hope.

To conan: You can't get too riled up. With Europe having the Euro, the Europian Union (with its own flag mind you) and so many things trying to bind the countries of Europe together you HAVE to give some leeway. And to say that you've been to Europe, I'm sure if you listened to said people a bit longer you'd hear them roll off the actual countries that they visited for you.

In Australia we definitely say "I just came back from Europe" as we will have been to a whole collection of countries while there, because, hell, for us it's a huge novelty to be able to travel from country to country just by driving for a few hours. To get ANYWHERE from here it's hours on a plane.

no one has mentioned that she is Kelly Pickler from American Idol. She is dumb, but she also hams it up as well. It's hard to tell how dumb she really is because its fairly apparent she acts dumber than she really is (but she really is dumb too).

Also, I love how she doesn't realize she's being made fun of by Jeff Foxworthy for being a woman until the crowd starts booing.

Oh, videosift community, this video makes me both laugh at people's stupidity and cry for the death of intellectualism.

"I'm listening to what you're saying, but I only hear what I want to"

"...that's just called being a woman"

LMAO

I also like how the kid does his best not to laugh at her too much

I was nodding in agreement when I first read this. Thinking about it though, I wouldn't flinch if someone said "I've been to africa".
