bobknight33says...Wow smoking hot.
I guess there needs to be a new segment in modeling for Plus size anorexics
Paybacksays...I completely agree with the industry. She's practically morbidly obese.
Here, here's a lovely young upcoming model that is far closer to the ideal.

articiansays...Good for her for knowing better than what the "industry" tells her. She's smart enough to see through the BS, hopefully she finds success in whatever she does in the future.
ChaosEnginesays...Further proof that the fashion industry disappeared up its own arse decades ago.
Nevermind girl. Tell them to get fucked and then have a cake.
sixshotsays...Somethin' wrong with dem eyes, man... Her? big? She looks outstanding to me.
I'll never understand how the model industry could believe that bone-thin is their ideal size...
eric3579says...'Fatty fatty two by four' That is so old school
Mordhaussays...This is fucking sad. I personally think she is on the edge of being too skinny. The fashion industry is trying to push her, and other models, back into the old 80s/90s "heroin chic" look.
Just when you think we are getting away from body shaming, the fashion people try to shove it back down our throats.
*doublepromote for a b-e-a-utiful girl.
siftbotsays...Double-Promoting this video back to the front page; last published Tuesday, August 25th, 2015 4:48pm PDT - doublepromote requested by Mordhaus.

'Fatty fatty two by four' That is so old school
aaronfrsays...I've got a couple problems with this video and the common response across the internet:
Her story is just a series of anecdotes, not any kind of proof of industry standards.
Being rejected by "the industry" is a meaningless phrase. She was rejected by a couple of agents and customers, not "the industry".
But this is the big one...
Nobody said she was too fat. Nobody! But that is what everyone responds to, an argument that was not made. She was told that her hips are too big, that is not about body mass, that is about physiology. Diet and exercise can keep the fat off your hips, but it can't make them smaller.
What these agents are probably looking for is a more androgynous look. A smaller hip to waist ratio and bust to waist ratio. It's not about BMI at all.
vilsays...Your mirror is bent. Even your door looks skinny in that mirror. Should we feel sorry for you, now that you are free to do something useful and positive with your life? Shoot a horizontal video of something nice!
newtboysays...My first thought about this video was 'Who doesn't know that the 'fashion industry' mostly wants sickeningly anorexic women that are completely unattractive to most men?'.
I like there to be some woman to my women.
If you need to see their face to be sure they aren't 12 year old boys, that's just not attractive to me...but then, I don't like 12 year old boys.
I have a hard time feeling sorry for this woman. I don't think she'll have any problem finding modeling work, just maybe not high fashion runway model work. She's better off IMO.
EMPIREsays...hahaha you chubby chaser!
Here's what a real woman looks like:

Paybacksays...Actually, she was told she needs to "get in better shape" (1:27) so ya, they're saying she's too fat.

lucky760says...Poor girl. She has a tough life ahead of her.

Paybacksays...IKR?
Seriously though, you don't need to actually feel sorry for her to share the outrage.
Poor girl. She has a tough life ahead of her.
Asmosays...I can't help but feel a bit ambivalent towards her "problem".
She has a hell of a lot of advantages (seems intelligent, good looking, fit etc), but she wants to be part of the industry that reinforces that women should be toothpicks to hang clothes off. Her bmi is already low, and she knows it, so making the changes the industry wants are, at a guess, simply impossible without seriously compromising her health. She's tried to be the coathanger and failed and now it's sour grapes over the industry and how ridiculous it is... \= |
And it wasn't ridiculous before she decided she wanted to be a model? This isn't a new thing by any stretch of the imagination.
She get's the sympathy around here because she's very attractive and scantily clad (you could probably mute the clip and it would still end up in the top 15). But this is solidly in the "first world problems" zone.
