siftbotsays...Adding video to channels (News) - requested by ant.
TheFreaksays...Welcome to Republican America. This is the world working as intended for "fiscal conservatives".
Are we great yet?
moonsammyjokingly says...Damned government regulations, putting long-term stability and the interests of "people" over rapacious greed and short-term profit. How dare they?!?
C-notesays...A $10k electric bill would sting just a little bit.
BSRsays...Just goes to show, everything is bigger in Texas.
newtboysays...Unless they can prove it was intentional, producers and suppliers working together to gouge people, the best people are likely to get is a payment plan.
Way to shoot yourselves in the foot, Texans. Welcome to the downside of deregulated free markets.
bobknight33jokingly says...Doesn't every one have $17K?
No one should pay their bill ( well they can't ).
vilsays...Wait so you "order" electricity and the provider later decides how much you pay? Cool. Nothing can go wrong.
lucky760says..."Yeah boy!
We don't want no socialist democrat bullpucky like over yonder in California!"
Nexxussays...We have the choice to go with whichever provider we choose. Most people opt to go with a fixed rate for 6-12-24 months or whatever, and it costs a little more. Then there are people that go with a variable rate plan to save money, and in this case, the rate went up and they got caught. However, I do think there should be safeguards against drastic rate hikes such as this.
newtboyjokingly says...Yep, Texas doesn't want that. Better frozen to death without water and on their own than federally regulated, that's Texas. How's that working out for them?
"Yeah boy!
We don't want no socialist democrat bullpucky like over yonder in California!"
newtboyjokingly says...And now again...Texas can't deliver power in extreme weather....the kind they always have. I wonder how many will die this time. It's impossible to live in Texas without AC for most people under normal temperatures, and outright deadly during heat waves.
The stars at night, are big and bright,
Deep in the heart of Texas,
It could be 'cause, they don't have lights,
Deep in the heart of Texas
As a side note, estimates are as high as 700 who died in Texas from lack of power, in California that number is 1, and that man died 12 minutes after losing power, he didn't slowly freeze to death.
"Yeah boy!
We don't want no socialist democrat bullpucky like over yonder in California!"
