Mega-bass from car stereo gives girl new hairstyles

Bass + Girl = Instant 80's hair. That's a win in my book.

The best part is all the rattling. If you are going to put a system in your car at least do it right. This isn't just white trash, this is busch league amateur hour white trash.

I used to install systems back in the early 90's. Just like anything in this world people do it as a form of competition. Whether he competes or not is not the point, the point is to have a better system than anyone else you know (like motorcycles with the loudest exhaust, etc.).

The distortion is caused by the cheap mic on the video camera and the extreme sound pressure caused by the bass. It also doesn't pick up the low frequencies very well, but the low frequencies are blocking out the highs and mids. I used to have to use a video camera to hear and pinpoint the rattles you couldn't hear on your own due to the loud music.

With the sound pressure he is generating, there is no way to prevent the rattles. You should watch the video on youtube from the start to see how much his doors flex...wow.

I hate these idiots. What's the point of all this?
You surely can't even appreciate the music (as bad as it is) since it's completely distorted.
White trash show boating.

The problem I have with competing in things like this is that it ultimately comes down to who spends the most money and there will always be someone who can afford to spend more than you. If you're competing as an athlete, then at least you have the option of training harder, improving or learning new technique, changing your style, strategy or approach to the sport, focus on being great at one aspect, etc. Of course it's still almost guaranteed you're not the next Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, Lance Armstrong, Nolan Ryan, Georges St-Pierre, or Emmitt Smith, but at least you can still compete against yourself... test your own limits. At least if you're building the system you're applying some technical skills and techniques; most of the douche bags that drive around like this just paid for someone else to do all the work. I don't see why they're so proud.

People also destroy the environment by accumulating a lot of pointless possessions for the sole purpose of social status competition.

You mean like Star Points?

Cyber possessions don't count. If you want to save the environment, transfer more of the status competition from physical to cyberspace.

Right, because the computer you use gets free energy. The toxic elements vanish after upgrading or replacing the computer and you never ever hear of someone with several computers to manage their on line possessions or hear of anyone being killed for cyber Possessions.

Face it. If your not living in a cave wearing dead animals and hunting your own food. Your killing the Environment and even then I'm sure your still destroying the environment in some way.

Smartphone: under 20 watts
Laptop: ~50 watts
Desktop: ~500 watts
Car: ~50,000 watts (with 100% efficiency & 67 horsepower output) e.g. cruising down the highway at 75mph with total drag forces of 1491 newtons (~330 pounds). Not to mention the millions of 100-watt-ish streetlights every few meters.

Cruising around in your car is adversely impacting the environment waaaaaaay more than surfing the net, minute for minute.

I used to think super loud bass was cool, then I grew up...
...and realized the highs and mids need to be just as loud.

Same here, then I grew up some more and realized people like this are only advertising to thieves and neighbourhood vandals.
