I was wondering what the downtime was for. I tried entering zeph.videosift.com and it gave me a 404, and for a split second I thought "Fuck! I've been banned!" Then I realised the whole site was down .

We're baaack. Sorry it took so long. It was closer to 4 hours than our scheduled 1.

Thanks to Lucky for staying up late and making it right.

The good news is that the old servers and the new servers are now happily together in their own rack.

We haven't flipped the switch on the new second dual xeon web beast- but we will tomorrow.

Please let us know if you experience anything strange - or have deja vu like feelings - as we all know what those indicate.

Hmmm, OK doesn't sound good. If it happens again please let us know the page you were accessing.

Is the time out of wack? All the new items (comments, vid, etc) are just showing "ago". When I look at some videos that I know I sifted over 2 and a half days ago they show as a day and a half ago... Looks like the timestamps got shifted into the future or something strange like that.

Yep. There are still a few hiccups we're trying to wade through. (Have you ever waded through a bunch of hiccups? )

We'll try to make old SiftBot get everything back in working order as immediately as humanly artificial intelligently as possible.

Update: Fixed the missing "time ago" problem. (The time on one of the new servers was out of sync.)
