Happy New Year!

I have spent the past year on the Sift learning, observing, laughing, crying, searching, and always thinking...much like my life in general. By far, the best part of my time here has been getting to know the people of this community. I truly hope that 2012 bring happiness and many Power Points to you all!!

It's already New Years Day here. I'm making eggs Benedict. No death and destruction in sight yet- but the hollindaise is a bit on the runny side.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

as if Australian time matters.

You just wait.

PARTY PARTY PARTY HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

let's share new years eve stories

we had a party.
a young woman slipped over on broken glass and cut her elbow severely enough that she bled all over our house and needed an ambulance. DRAMA!
i tried fire poi for the first time in about 7 years and burnt my hair but it was awesome.
and on the stroke of midnight we had an impromptu dance party in my room.

actually, i think i just had the best new years i've had in a long time.

Considering that everyone basically empties out of Canberra on holidays - there was actually a really impressive and expensive seeming fireworks display. This is a very prosperous city - thanks to Australian taxpayers.

Happy New Year, everybody, and especially critical_d
I had a quiet one, so no stories to tell. There were a surprisingly large number of illegal fireworks set off nearby though (hmm...).
The legal fireworks in Melbourne had an issue or two as well:
