He also held that the unsuccessful resolution of the Oedipus complex could result in neurosis, paedophilia, and homosexuality.

Classical theory holds that "resolution" of the Oedipus complex takes place through identification with the parent of the same sex and (partial) temporary renunciation of the parent of the opposite sex; the opposite-sex parent is then "rediscovered" as the growing person's adult sexual object.

In classical theory, people who are fixated at the oedipal level are "mother-fixated" or "father-fixated", and reveal this by choosing sexual partners who are discernible surrogates for their parent(s)."

Why is everybody sexualizing this? Nudity around your kids is not a harmful thing. What most of the books say is when kids start being body conscious, that's when mom and dad need to put clothes on around the house. And I think I liked your first title better, BMG.

Nudity is not an aberration, In most of the world and during almost all of history this would not be seen as anything out of the ordinary (well--except for the electronic doo-hickys). Our society's puritanical world view screws up more kids than home nudity ever has. I won't--however--defend this family; I simply don't know enough about them or how they raise their kids.

I'm upvoting purely for the supporting of nudity like this around kids being a-grade non harmful and normal. Gee... if you actually try to not be naked in front of your kids of that age it's a losing battle. They'll come in while you're on the toilet, in the shower, getting dressed etc. etc. Why make any deal out of it? They have no issue, why should they? Yes, once they get to 'that age' then you might start thinking about covering up a bit, but that young? Bah.

The sad thing about this video is that we're probably looking at a divorce and vindictive retribution - though it's hard to say for sure of course.
