Koch Brothers Can't Stand Their Own Organizations

Rachael Maddow reports on the Koch Brothers, and their threats against her for reporting on them, and the script they sent her attempting to force her to deny her own reporting and the facts that they fund these groups, which they don't deny.

that's a handsome woman

the Koch brothers fund groups they agree with...WOW!

or you believe they set up all these organizations, a massive right-wing conspiracy

George Soros wouldn't do anything like that, would he? Probably wouldn't need to, he already has CNN, MSNBC, NBC, CBS, ABC NYT etc.

Not really all that surprising @lantern53 but you completely miss the point.

The Koch brothers do fund groups they agree with, at no time was anyone suggesting otherwise.

When someone usually does that they don't cringe and cower at then being associated with said group. The Koch brothers in this case clearly don't want to be affiliated with their own organization. Are you truly saying you don't see that... even in your incredibly biased mind as being just the tiniest bit suspicious?

Pretty sad that Basement Boy has to try and ride the coattails of a losing liberal commentator.

But who knows what reasons the Koch brothers have for doing what they do. As for the Florida law, I think it sounds pretty awesome. People who get gov't taxpayer money should be drug tested. The leading cause of death in the county where I live is drug overdose. Heroin overdoses are now epidemic. My wife just went to a funeral for a girl, 24 yrs old, who overdosed. My wife's best friend's daughter got addicted to heroin. Church-going people.

But instead of talking about something important, Ms. Bloviator sounds like she's just uncovered the greatest scandal since Teapot Dome. She must be very satisfied with herself. Bravo.

Lantern53.... The derp is strong with this one... I don't think logic has anyplace here. So I'm not going to bother

I believe somebody ran the numbers once and discovered that only a small percentage of welfare recipients were drug addicts. Also, the cost to set up and run the program that would drug test all people on welfare would cost more than the money you would save by kicking the few drug users there were out of the program.
But that would never fit the conservative narrative that all poor people are lazy drug addicted scumbags.

Yup, the agree so much they want to hide their funding and not get caught out (aka what the whole story was about). Usually, when you want to manipulate policy via hidden links, it is in fact called a conspiracy...

The only good thing about your posts is you do a far better job of making a total fool of yourself then we ever could... =)

Maddow bit was fine, but this TYT presents annoys the shit out of me. Far too high outrage and grandstanding to content ratio.

Perhaps you are right about the costs of drug-testing. A much better way would be to deny benefits for people with criminal records. Much easier to determine.

I wonder what those people will do when no one will hire them and they can't get a job because of their record.

just call it pre-screening.

If the Koch Brothers want to be sneaky with this then who cares. Like GEORGE SOROs isn'tdoing the same kind of shit. But then again Koch did not collapse the British dollar like Soros.

lantern53says...

Soros funds Free Press, whose stated goal is to dismantle capitalism and replace it with socialism. But Rachel won't make a peep about that, I'm sure. She's already got years of experience as a socialist mouthpiece, so she'll always have a job lined up.

@lantern53 @bobknight33

As you two seem completely incapable of setting aside your bias, or your ignorance i'll ask you to site... really anything where Soros threatened a law suite because he was be associated with a group he began and was funding.

The Koch brothers are so ashamed and afraid of their association and support of this group they are threatening lawsuits to keep it hidden. Ignoring the obnoxious little troll in his basement... and trying for ONE second to focus on that point... can you not put aside your ignorance and bias acknowledge this is even the tiniest bit... oh lets softball it in and say 'strange'...

No, if you want maximum impact, pre-screen for mental illness. That way we take out all of the bottom feeders. If they can't afford medication they'll become criminals anyway. Then we just house them in cells. Food and shelter and money into the criminal justice system. Seems like a fairly well organized machine. I could write a program that simulates it.

I really like this idea of systemically ostracizing large portions of the population so that they have to work outside the system itself. Creates an almost shadow world of wow, who knows what goes on in this mass populace of unemployable criminals... Where would they go? Australia's full. Mars!! We send them to Mars. What does this ultimately lead to?

Oh, I know -- StarCraft
