Internet Explorer 8 Is Disgustingly Stupid

Do you suffer from a case of "I answered Google when asked what a web browser is"? If so, listen carefully to this ad, as it explains a feature IE8 took from Chrome as a unique IE8 feature.

Also, "If she doesn't know it won't hurt her" seems to be the motto of republican politicians these days. Not sure Microsoft is wise to adopt it here...

Whatever he says, this advertising is about half a step above the horrible dead-singing-animorphic-nuggets of quiznos past. This makes me dislike IE even more, I don't get how people get payed for coming up with crap like this.

Certainly not a real Microsoft ad. Somebody should tag this as parody

The youtube user is ie8videos. His channel has an official logo and several other similar ads, with Dean Cain.

Don't tag stuff unless you actually know what you're doing, please.

You're right, if you go to the site advertised at the end of the video, not only is it owned by Microsoft, but it contains the video. These are purely designed to appeal to the interwebs and will never be shown on TV. Still, it's irritating when a monopoly pretends to be edgy.

Actually, the one that encourages you to send photos of prison shank cat to all your black friends has got to be more controversial then this. http://www.videosift.com/video/S-H-Y-N-E-S-S-Internet-Explorer-8

I'm upvoting this video because I think that upgrading from IE 6, even if only to IE 7 or 8 is a step in the right direction. I'm really sick of people not downloading better browsers...they are FREE, take a minute to download/install and you can have all of them on your computer taking up very little space. Why not just give them a try and see if you like it better? Internet n00bs.

cant belive anyone has typed parody after rosser99 tried

Removed from parody channel.

Parody - A literary or artistic work that imitates the characteristic style of an author or a work for comic effect or ridicule.

This is an official Microsoft ad designed to make people see the benefits of the InPrivate browsing feature in Internet Explorer 8. It is NOT a parody, it is simply Microsoft attempting to be hip and cool with a viral ad that would never see TV time.

Browse better than IE7? Not exactly a lie =P

You hear "Browse better than IE7". And technically speaking, your'e right.
We hear "IE8 is superior to Chrome and Firefox, even though it took those two browsers to actually get superior features and acquire a significant market share for us to improve our stagnant browser".

That table is so full of lies that make me want to slap the marketing douche that compiled it, and this ad continues it's spirit, even if not as overtly.

I simply CAN NOT believe that fucking chart. Only IE8 has inPrivate browsing? WTF!?! Chrome introduced that feature!! Tab isolation!? Another Chrome innovation! Security!? Internet Explorer is infamous for it's terrible security holes!

AAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!

IE8 isn't that bad. It's got some decent features... OH NOES! It's hip to hate MSFT tho, so keep it up to be cool.

Edit: Man, this commercial is horrid though. Puke doesn't really sell anything; it's just gross. I should start a marketing firm and target MSFT specifically; anything is better than this stuff...

What a little bitch, he was only trying to be helpful

Sorry if he was offended by that, but the post doesn't belong in the parody channel. Three clicks and he could have found that out, but he assumed it was, and was wrong about it.

Anyway, my whole point was that you should be sure about what you're doing before you start adding other people's posts to channels.

This ad is just horrible, terrible acting and a terrible script. How is it funny that someone pukes from seeing porn? If she had puked because he was using a bad browser (like IE) it would atleast have been mildly funny, sort of unoriginal, but atleast it would be a working joke.

"Knowing the top speed of a car doesn't tell you how fast you can drive in rush hour. To actually see the difference in page loads between all three browsers, you need slow-motion video. This one’s also a tie."

Holy crap that's about the worst piece of advertisement I've ever seen. They're basically admitting they're slower, but hoping you wont notice?

Agreed, the table has plenty of lies. But the ad, by itself does not. In the end it doesn't matter all that much that this made the Lies channel, I just find that the Lies channel is over used. It seems to be used very often if someone simply disagrees with the video, not if the video actually contains lies.
