Ravens and crows are wicked smart - shame about them being minions of satan.
WaterDwellersays...I'm guessing it's got some genetic trait that reduces its ability to feel fear, explaining both why it would get up close and personal with a porcupine, and why it would be unafraid of humans.
Engelssays...It looks like a baby, so that's why its so trusting.
shuacsays...Afterward, the Raven made a mental note: porcupine, nevermore.
Yogisays...This is soooo freaking cool. I can't even imagine what was going through the little guys mind. I've heard Ravens are really smart but I can't believe he thought that a human was going to help him, that's just way beyond.
antjokingly says...Where's WHITE Raven?

poolcleanersays...Yo, hey, uhhh, crow. I got something to tell you. You got a flower in yo beak.
lucky760says..."Nevermore."
chingalerasays...-the survival circuit over-riding others-the raven is already pretty nonplussed by humans as they're mainly scavengers living in proximity-Trippy that the bird didn't fly-off and maybe back after those quill-pulls? Here's the real rub:The bird's brain probably processed the information that it would take a big brain and some thumbs to do the work and made the connection to engage a suitable pair!

StukaFoxsays...Never realized how big a raven is -- much more used to the local crows around here.
chingalerasays...Their size is reminiscent of magpies or giant woodpeckers, it's a big-ass bird!
