I can't see that this will be helpful. In fact, I think this will only strengthen the Australian government's resolve to keep escalating their censorship regime. What government is going to cave in to a bunch of internet misfits? They can't afford to be seen as unable to respond to a direct attack on themselves, so either they'll simply play the importance of the attacks down or they'll pursue some sort of legal action against the perpetrators while using the attacks to paint the opponents of censorship as juvenile troublemakers.

I have read it. I support the Anonymous action. The "banning small breasts" thing is actually, mostly true.

I was going to rant a little about moral panics and how they distract voters from the Real Issues, but if it's mostly true, i guess policymakers get taken in as well... so that sucks. (but not as much as polticians using fear to play voters like a violin).

A bit embarassing for Anonymous that they're going for this as well (i don't know to what degree they're capable of concerted effort & agenda, though). After the Scientology thing, they had kind of established themselves as international tricksters... but tricksters, more than anyone, need to have a very realistic, even cynical, worldview in order to be effective.

Just to clarify, I'm not passing judgement on non-Western governments, I just fear that if a "Western" government starts this it will open the door for other "Western" governments. (sorry for all the quotes, I'm not a fan of that moniker)

I think that's wrong, since it seems to be saying that they'll ban anything that might titilate pedophiles, I suppose to make pedophiles magically change into something else, rather than banning it to protect underage actresses from legally being involved in porn.

But, whatever. I'm sure a socialist nation like Australia will create a program to subsidize breast enlargements for porn stars. It's only fair if they're going to ban them from the industry otherwise!

They're right that the "barely 18" type of magazines and videos often try to make the models look even less mature. It's not bullshit. The ban applies to any porn that subjectively appears to include people under 18, by the arbitrary opinion of the censor, rather than to subjects who are actually under age. So a small-breasted and young-looking 25-year old could be banned.
