According to this article, the boxes contained vodka and cognac, and something like $180.000 worth of it was smashed in the accident. Noone was seriously injured , but one guy wounded his foot. Also, it did happen in Russia

Poor driving aside, those shelves look so over-weighted and precarious that you could breathe wrong on that load bearing leg and it would have come down.
