The issue here is that Fox ran a tag while discussing this "issue" that stated "Obama: 'A tragedy' Supreme Court hasn't addressed wealth redistribution." Which is an outright lie! Obama never said that. He said the tragedy of the civil rights movement was that they used the courts too much!

I don't watch FOX so I really don't know the answer to this... is she actually an anchor? I always thought of a news anchor as someone who (a) delivers the facts, and (b) excels at getting their guest to expound coherently on his area of expertise. She seems more intent on shutting him down or disproving him.

If the rest of FOX News's programming is anything like this, I can't believe that anyone capable of rational thought would actually use this as a valid source of information. Such anger... such vitriol... No, I could never watch more than five minutes of this.

What benefit could programming like this possibly offer to the viewing public? I can't see it. I view this type of alleged journalism as a ratings-grabber first, and the intellectual equivalent of pro wrestling second.

Some people get stupid, real stupid, when they hear "redistribution of wealth". I get it, they don't like socialism and they don't want our nation to fall into it. But they need to realize that redistributing some of the wealth does not equal socialism. If they can't realize that, then one can only assume that if they learned more about the US government they would conclude that it is already socialist.

Maybe it is just a misunderstanding. For some, "redistribution of wealth" is read as "redistribution of some wealth", as in things like welfare, tax policy, etc. But for others, "redistribution of wealth" is read as "redistribution of all wealth", as in material equality. I can understand the panic if you interpret it as the latter, but it becomes nearly impossible to talk about the former without the latter people going crazy.
