Training Tea Party Activists In Guerilla Internet Tactics
Doesn't read 80% of the books that he rates...
Scanimations on an iPad
Interesting. Apparently these are less interesting when you use a device that is already capable of full screen video.
White House White Board: Tax Cuts
The scale of the x-axis is probably misleading for the casual viewer. One side always likes to paint the picture using whole numbers and ignoring the original income value, and the other side always to paint the picture using fractions of the original income and ignoring the actual dollar value.
Zero Punctuation: Amnesia: The Dark Descent
stay out of the water
Drunk Nerd interviewed about Starcraft 2
lol nicely done
The Non-Aggression Principle
I don't think the author thought this line of thinking all the way to the conclusion.
Rainbows...How Do They Work?!?
LOL. To think she recorded and uploaded that herself.
OMG
OMG, what did he film this next to one of those high pitch noise generators that they use over there to prevent teenagers from loitering by the businesses? I mean jesus fucking christ I couldn't make it half way through the video before getting a headache.
Pomplamoose girl covers "The Book of Love"
I really like the Pomplamoose music, but I haven't liked any of their solo stuff. Both of their styles mix together to form something win, like cats and the internet, who knew?
Drawing on water
The combined energy to create the wave along with any inefficiencies in transmitting the energy in wave form would result in a huge net loss of energy.
I can't think of any practical applications for this technology, outside of maybe a water park or fancy fountain. Regardless, it is cool to watch so thanks for posting.>> ^raverman:
I'm thinking... build a larger simplistic model along the coast line of a bay so you can create focused wave forms that converge on some type of turbine for power generation.
Coders: Why do we always use .NET?
Very funny, even if I do prefer C# to java myself.
Yo-Yo Master Kenny Returns, Tells of His Dark Past
wtf. This is only funny because it is real. It is like a fail SNL skit. /upvote.
Rage gameplay demo (e3 2010)
Here is what I expect. I expect to buy it. I expect the graphics and tech will be excellent. I expect the gameplay and controls to be rock solid. And I expect the story will be crap but the game will be fun anyways. In other words, I don't expect id software to have changed much.
TED Talks: Rory Sutherland On The Importance Of Small Things
Interesting. Instead of 'Strategy' in the top right quadrant and '???' in the bottom right quadrant, I would have "bad ideas" and "good ideas" respectively.
If it costs a lot of money, then you are losing money, thus "bad idea". If it costs a negative amount, then you are making money, thus "good idea".
I realize he was talking about the cost to the consumer, and not the company, but I can't make any sense of what a negative cost to the consumer would mean. Free would be zero cost; can you have less than free? More free stuff?
Apple Iphone v4 release demo doesn't work out for Jobs
Yeah, but I like deathcow's better.
