This reminds me of hearing Stewart himself explain to the audience "how the heck do you get these people to agree to be on their show?"

to be fair, I think there was a article written somewhere that described how they put those videos together. IIRC there is a BIT of doctoring, at the very least for dramatic effect.

There's tons of it. There's a reason they use the over-the-shoulder shot so much and it's because the person the camera is behind is a double.

Almost nobody would calmly continue giving an interview after being blatantly mocked like this.

The whole "it's not a game" thing from Boehner was completely hypocritical

Immediately after the shutdown, Everyone starts talking about who the "winners and losers" were.

Obama immediately says "there are no winners"
Boehner immediately starts talking about how they "didn't win"
all the news outlets start running articles about who "won and lost"

And Cruz is already talking about the next shutdown.

If the ACA wasn't already a law, I could SORTA understand it. but nah, It's a law, they have an oath to uphold it. They want to change it, more power to them, but have that argument elsewhere, not as a negotiating tactic to keep the gov't running. They supposedly want to cut costs, but this shutdown costs us even more money so they can't claim ANY sort of fiscal responsibility here.

Apparently they get walked out on a lot--and then the interviewee comes right back out.

My favorite moment was when she says it is Unconstitutional, then he points out the Supreme Court said it was Constitutional, then she comes back with the odd "The Supreme Court deemed it Constitutional, but it had to go to the Supreme Court to do so. And they still don't know whats in the bill." "The Supreme Court didn't read the bill?" Exasperation on her part...

Looks like a Ponzi scheme. just like Social Security. The young is paying for the old.

However just like Social Security you when the young get old you will never get the benefit.

I found this really hard to laugh at because of how frustrated I am at the current stances taken by the GOP and their cronies.
