I had to learn the hard way about wearing helmets. Cracking your skull on the pavement is a scary thing and is always good for a trip to the emergency room. Without a helmet that dude would have been fucked.

Backside edges are the worst. He probably needs to replace that helmet, the material inside is only good for one head wack then you have to replace the whole helmet.

yep, I'm all about the head safety. Have had a couple of falls on a snowboard or mountain bike that would have killed me without a lid.

I need to show this to my kids.

I've taken lot of falls while at skate parks.
Every park required helmets.

Unfortunately for me, the only times I ever hit my head was face/chin first.
My helmet basically wore me for protection :-/

You can still get a concussion from an impact like this... I would always send someone to A&E / ER after something like this. But I'd rather have concussion that have the back of my head cracked like a boiled egg.
