Fail Compilation - August 2010

It might just be me but... I think skateboarders, BMX Bikers and any extreme sport where they have to push the boundaries shouldn't be considered a "Fail" Their are just trying out bigger and better new tricks. To me a "Fail" is when people are attempting stupid ideas that don't pan out well, an easy task backfires, or when something bizarre happens out of the ordinary.

Kruposays...

It's just you - hell, many of them really should have had helmets on and didn't. eia-ish, but whatever.

The crowd surfing failures were win at fail. I'm generally more about the inclusive approach to fail. As is the compilation editor. Also a fair bit of *actionpack and *wtf here.

How about fail for not one of them wearing a helmet while doing something guaranteed to eventually result in head injury? Or just for doing pointlessly dangerous shit in the first place.

Haha, I agree with the lack of helmet being worn should be a Fail!

Physics, it's not just fun, it's the law.

Heres how you know it's gonna hurt
a) are you about to do something really "cool"
b) did one or more of your friends just pick up a camera and started to film you.

The airbag in the tires! are you kidding me?! I wonder if that guy knew what was about to happen or if it was a prank

Yeah, it wasn't a prank or anything, they were actually intentionally taking turns setting off an airbag on each other. I saw the whole video somewhere and it was all planned, although that air bag seemed to have more oomph than the others.

I completely agree. That pole dancer was just pushing the boundaries of her sport. As were the bikini-clad ladies in the trolley.

Love these. Mostly people showing off, or doing things they shouldn't. Few innocent victims, by and large (save for the car accidents ). Most of the time I just say to myself "Well, what did they think was going to happen?"

@Krupo: Helmets only prevent head damage, not face damage. I'd need to rewatch these videos again but it looks like a hellmet wouldn't have done much in these cases. Skateboarding involves a lot of falling to the point that learning to fall is half the sport.

After rewatching: Two of those skateboard impacts were armpit and arm impacts, and the one down the rail was his knees and face, so while knee pads would have been nice, it looks like he never learned how to avoid smashing his face after a bail, which is something you gotta learn even if you are fully padded.
