FOX's Glenn Beck Goes "NUTS" On Caller To Radio Show

Bruti79says...

We have a lottery system? Damn, I should let my doctor know when I go in next week. Thankyou Glenn Beck, for educating me on my own health care system.

I wonder what it's like to live in New Glenn Beckistan, he sounds pretty happy.

Throbbinsays...

I didn't know we had a lottery either.....*lies

Interestingly enough, there's a small town called Glen Beck just south of Ottawa, about 50 minutes drive. I've never had the nerve to stop there when I drive through (I'm pretty brown).

JiggaJonsonsays...

She didn't make a very organized or (consequently) compelling argument. But you have to consider the forum, she's a radio show call-in. That being said, how can Glenn Beck try to argue that he's a logical person when he mocked her the entire interview (including multiple 10 second screaming sessions)??

Furthermore, what the hell is wrong with his staff that thinks it's ok for GB to SCREAM at a guest repeatedly?? When they hung up on her his entourage of jackasses in the studio sort of chuckled and chimed in.

That's the real problem is maniacal behavior like this is sitting atop a huge support system cheering it on and treating it like normal behavior.

(still in shock from screaming)

JiggaJonsonsays...

For all you staunch conservatives out there here's a challenge
$20 to anyone who can find the host of a show on NPR going off anywhere close to the way GB just did.

We may not agree on everything but we liberals are civil god damnit

Wow. Glenn Beck is batshit insane. I can't understand some listener thinking Glenn Beck is 'fair' or 'balanced'. His rhetoric and whole way of talking is just so patronizing and so obviously not looking to see the other side of the situation it's sad to listen to.

Canada has a lottery to see who gets to see a doctor each month? Interesting. No one seems to have been aware of this at my local hospital when I went into the ER last month.

Hours after walking into the ER, I was undergoing emergency surgery to remove my appendix, and I walked out of the hospital two days later. The cost to me? $0. Yep, it's a pretty horrible health care system we have here in Canada.

Funny, I have the EXACT same story. Except I stayed for 3 days.

You've already lost your mind Glen. If your screaming at the top of your lungs at someone on the phone like that, you've already lost your mind.

Your a douche bag. The sooner Faux realizes you've literally just gone fucking nuts, and drops you, the better.

Nithernsays...

If you have to raise your voice over another in a debate....you lost the arguement, and being immature on top of that. When you insult the other person (mocking is insulting), you lost the arguement.

Mr. Beck wants to attack Mass Health (the health care model the Democrats are looking at for a national model) of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Mr. Obama spent $787 Billion on the Stimulus pack. Mr. Bush spent $3 Trillion (that's $3,000,000,000,000) on the Iraq war. Mr. Obama's funds go to help Americans directly. Mr. Bush, about 1/3 of it went to other countries.

Trust me, folks in the other 49 states....take the Mass Health care model, you will find a better system of health.

Mr. Beck, like the majority of talk-radio that has a sharply conservative/republican bent, have not used logical and sound reasoning since the Reagan Administration. Their ideas seem to fall far short of being productive to the USA, and yet, they feel the rest of us, should take them seriously. And yes, they behave, alot like how Mr. Beck did to Cathy.

Shpydirsays...

It's pretty easy to say we don't need healthcare reform when one is well-off, has reasonably good job security, and doesn't have to decide between paying medical bills and buying the family groceries.

Wait it took 3 days for them to get your appendix out? Or you got your appendix out and then you stayed in the hospital for 3 days?

Tell me about the 60%+ tax rate in Canada. Is it free to pay your taxes?

He is absolutely brilliant when it comes to swaying his audience. You have to realize that his audience (AKA sheep) want to be entertained, angered, whipped into a frenzy, and told what to think about. In this regard, Glenn is an anus ripping genius.

NetRunnersays...

I love the repeated comment that "she never listens to the show".

Apparently there was a show where they proved that whatever Beck says is true, and is never to be questioned.

Also, apparently what she said could be dismissed because the same argument was made by Michael Moore.

Great example of the appeal to authority fallacy, and its inverse. Bonus points when the authority you're appealing to is yourself.

Tomfoolerysays...

Jiggajonson,
Comparing any radio show to Glenn Beck's is setting a pretty low bar so no, there are no radio shows on NPR with hosts that screech at their callers like a little school girl the way beck did. However, the fact that Beck is "conservative" doesn't taint the entire conservative radio pool any more than the fact that Rosie O'Donnel is a liberal taints the entire liberal celebrity pool. Dennis Miller, for example, is a measured, intelligent, and reasonable voice in the conservative talk radio world. Glenn Beck is embarrassing and it boggles my mind that he's as popular as he is.
