Wrong day and way too late for me. Last time I had to wait till 4 AM to watch the thing live.

I honestly don't expect anything practicality amazing and or shocking form either candidates.

Obama needs to nail McCain but is reluctant to do so via direct comparison between McCain Policy and Bush Policy.

I probably will watch the debate away from the PC, but I'll make sure to stop by to join the dissection as soon as it's over.

I think the best thing Obama could do during this debate is to turn to McCain at an opportune moment, and ask him "John, do you honestly think I've been palling around with terrorists?"

If McCain wants to be McNasty, let him do so in front of tens of millions of people.

I'll be in class tonight - Tuesdays suck with work and class and wanting to sleep and whatnot. But you guys have fun. Who knows - since I'm missing the debate, the migraine I had from the VP debate might actually go away finally. *sigh*

Btw - instead of drinking phrases, I suggest the following McCainisms for those so (un)fortunate as to see the debates: "Haugh?!?! Haugh?!?!" And also, whenever he ends a word unnecessary with "sh" - as in "Yesh" and "Of coursh". That already makes me giggle so it shouldn't be too much of a stretch to take a sip whenever that comes up.

Will he make eye contact tonight????

I think all the pundits have to announce that McCain won this. They have to or the gap in the polling will continue to shoot up. So I think the media narrative involves McCain come back kid bullsh-t.

They have to somewhat justify the vote tallies. I mean freaking VA could go for Obama.

Time Magazine has a good starting list:

  • "Doesn't understand"

  • "Unrepentant terrorist"

  • "Get off my lawn"

  • "Bear DNA"

  • "Make them famous"

Chug if McCain manages to look Obama in the eye. Buy the bar a round if he looks Obama in the eye and then doesn't punch him in the throat!

I forget which interview it was in, but McCain basically stated that since Obama said the "say it to my face" line he ensured McCain will be bringing it up tonight. In other words, Obama brought it on himself.

It'll be at 3 am where I live, but I'll try to be there. Any bets on if and when McC will mention Rev Wright and/or Ayers?
