No Thumbnails....
I'm not getting any thumbnails loading at all on the Sift.
I haven't had any since they stopped loading Thursday, July 10th.
I am not getting the thumbnails at work or at home, two completely different systems. (both Macs)
I'm on a Mac running Firefox 30.0.
I'm in BC, Canada.
I tried to run Chrome just to check, and about 3/4 of the thumbnails load in Chrome - still not all of them.

In the lounge yesterday another sifter was having the same problem.
May want @lucky760 also on this one.
Must be an issue with our CDN provider's servers nearest you because everything is and has been fine here.
Can you open a developer console (F12) and view the Network tab then load any thumbnail URL and report what response you see?
Here's an example thumbnail URL: http://cdn.videosift.com/thumbs/a/we/Awesome_music_rhymes_clips_from_the_best_of_TV_and_film.jpg
Using that link, I receive this:
502 Bad Gateway
MaxCDN/2.6.0
A new link of my own:
http://cdn.videosift.com/thumbs/l/as/Last_Week_Tonight_with_John_Oliver_Wealth_Gap.jpg?1405333122
Also gives me the same result.
502 Bad Gateway
MaxCDN/2.6.0
I'm also not getting any thumbnails.

Works for me. What IP address does your name server give for the cdn host?
I get:
# nslookup cdn.videosift.com
cdn.videosift.com canonical name = cdn.siftpartners2.netdna-cdn.com.
Name: cdn.siftpartners2.netdna-cdn.com
Address: 108.161.188.129
What happens if you put in a hosts entry with that address?

Comment hidden because you are ignoring dag. (show it anyway)
This is an issue with our CDN - we're looking into it. FTR, looks fine from here.
@dag @lucky760 I tried to do a profile reply to a comment and when it went to the profile it never finished loading. looked like this for over 10 minutes. @oritteropo sorry, I really do not know what the hosts entry is.

A hosts entry is a way to override dns for a single hostname and cause untold trouble in future that you will never be able to sort out or understand
Anyway, what do you get if you open terminal and look up the IP address of the cdn? Command is:
nslookup cdn.videosift.com
It might help @lucky760 sort out the problematic nodes if he knows this, so please cut and paste the results of that command back here... particularly if the problem is your ISP and not the CDN itself.
nvm, it's fixed.

Okay, heard back from our CDN and it seems we inadvertently blacklisted some of their IPs while blocking some web crawlers recently.
We've unblocked those, so if that was the problem (and I'm pretty sure it was), everyone should be back in working order. If you were having this problem, please let us know either way.
@Sagemind @Thumper @deathcow @lurgee
fixed it ya bastages
Yup, it works now.

deathcow is right, it seems to be fixed here now.
--Thank you!!
Richmond, Va. Although it's appears to be working now. I feel like something changed because it was reproducible over the course of several days and now it's working.

I never had this problem at work and home (OpenDNS).
