AWESOME!!!!!!!! I got drunk on the sift lounge and had a blast!

Today I'm saying awesome cos I had a nice meal with friends then a stroll to see fireworks (which only lasted 5 minutes, down from 10 last year).

Normally I'd be inside bitching about it but if you do it in a relaxed way it's cool.

i celebrated it early, last night with a baby sitter all night. out to see the old 97s show with old friends, mourning the death of deep ellum, then waffles and grits at 4am and a sleep over with one of my bff's that i only see once a year. good night.

I'm over at @Captain_Caveman s apartment, sipping on a drink (it's an hour from midnight here). Good company, good drinks, and we just trounced the U.S. in World Junior hockey!

Eh? The death of Deep Ellum? What happened? It's not like I spent a lot of time there, but that was one of the most amazing neighborhoods I'd ever seen...I'd hate to see it gone.

Getting shit-faced at a friend's house, eating a cold burrito and then logging on to VS at 3 AM? Priceless.
