gwiz665says...http://www.videosift.com/video/Creationist-Cowards-diss-Darwin is a response to this.
demon_ixsays...I'm still wondering if it would be ok to add an introduction to the bible.
BoneRemakesays...OH I would of loved to be one of the recipients of that "gift". I am strong like sea otter and would of immediately known what was going on and went to page 50 and Yanked it out. Politely saying thank you for the book.
demon_ixsays...Seems like a good time to re-link my favorite Romanian: http://www.videosift.com/video/Hot-Romanian-Girl-Takes-Kirk-Cameron-s-Book-Video-Apart
Njalsays...What a fucking scumbag tactic. With lies and slander they will convert you to christianity?
Yeah, that's a very "christian" way of saying that you're right.. just throw shit at everything that doesn't agree with your religion.

I went to Kansas State. One day, there were people around the campus handing out pocket-sized versions of either the old or new testament, I can't remember which. I couldn't see what exactly the books were, but being a college student on a budget I assumed: woohoo, coupon book!
I rather eagerly accepted the book from one of them, said thank you, and started walking away. After a few yards of walking, I noticed that instead of a practical coupon book, I had been given a half-bible small enough to make the claim that the least damaging feature of it was eyestrain-inducing print size.
I loudly said "Dammit, this isn't a coupon book!" and chucked it over my shoulder. Out of the other students around me, about half gave me icy how-dare-you-blaspheme stares, and the other half chuckled and grinned. So it goes.

bigbikemansays...1. Be Kirk Fucking Cameron.
2. Lose whatever clue you might have once had.
3. Expose yourself as a dumbass to anyone who bothers to listen.
4. Profit.
Frankly, he's more than welcome. Hell of a way to go down in history though....and considering the high point of his public life before this was being a co-star with Alan Thicke....I mean: WOW.
ForgedRealitysays...Dude said "born-again Chrsitian," and I immediately thought, "oh HERE we go.. Fuckin idiot."
KimzSendaisays...I guess the studios should have spent more time on the science edcuation of their child-stars.
morelenmirsays...Of course there is only 1 'alternative' to evolution...
JiggaJonsonsays...Even if Darwin was a racist and a womanizer and if there was a connection to Hitler and the holocaust in some way, IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE VALIDITY OF DARWINS THEORY!!!
Is it possible to slap the moron out of somebody? I'd love to tear the first fifty pages of this crap out in front of someone who handed it to me.
braindonutsays...Their modifications don't stop with just adding a foreword:

turboj0esays...*lies ?
siftbotsays...Invocations (lies) cannot be called by turboj0e because turboj0e is not privileged - sorry.
Draxsays...I like the scene where Cameron stops Mace Windu from killing Ray Comfort, and then Windu gets knocked out the window.
Samaelsmithsays...1,2,3... Darwin. Lets hope he wins one.
joe2says...when ray comfort is interviewed by normal objective media he plays nice and says "we should just talk about the controversy"
but if you view his appearances on religious tv shows like the 700 Club, he takes a much more strident tone and talks about how atheists are working for satan etc.
typical christian hypocrite lunatic

Maybe the 'how-dare-you' stares were because you were LITTERING (and on your own Campus no less!)

Entirely possible, and I must confess that clearly the correct course of action would have been to deposit it in the nearest receptacle with the other trash. I can at least take comfort in confessing my sins...

Seems like the most logical response.
Xaielaosays...>> ^demon_ix:

The bible is public domain so it absolutely is.
I want to pass around a hundred thousand King James Bibles. Only I'd include a one page introduction to it that says:
Everything within this book is fictitious. It was written between 200 and 400 years after Jesus was alive.
And King James had the bible re-written in his image and barely a word of it mirrors the early texts.
But then again I doubt it would work, as the religious devout and 'actual history' rarely get along.
Raaaghsays...haha these dudes are so crazy
spoco2says...I really wish someone with the money would do this with the Bible... as mentioned above. I want a copy of the Bible, as it's an important text due to so many people believing it, so many other works based on it, so much of our culture guided by it... so I want a copy (don't have one in my house at present, had a few at my parents, but none at mine)... so I would like a nicely presented copy of the bible... WITH a great introduction that points out issues with it, like Xaielao states... NOT by being mean spirited and spiteful like these douchebags are, but rather, just giving some historic context for the text.
Do the same thing, hand them out on campus, or offer them free in other places, and watch the Religious right go nuts over it.
The beautiful thing is that we have this as precedence now... those who don't believe in creationism allowed this to go ahead, so they must let the other side happen too.
Jaacesays...I'm still thinking I'll take one of those for free and then rip out the introduction. It's a perfectly great book besides that part.

I have. Adam Savage did it on Mythbusters. He showed me how to do it, too. It was an awesome episode.
