What makes this good is that they did everything right and it still went wrong. Shit happens.

Nope, he should have lowered the container immediatly after clearing the two towers, and before turning. There is no way that thing was made for driving or turning with the container that high. And that guy standing behind the lifter is driving me nuts, What the fuck was he doing there?, he provides a perfect distraction for the operator.

I totally agree. Although it seems like the container was somehow imbalanced. Perhaps it was improperly packed or the contents shifted?

Forklift 101.

Wind pushed him over, once he turned the container it was turned into the brunt of the wind and pushed the vehicle over due to it's height.

Should have backed straight out and let it down as soon as he could so if the wind did catch it, at least it'd hit the other containers and stop or have to flip the machine completely sideways in one push or flip it over backwards to create a really dangerous situation.

Drives me crazy when people walk around my machine when I've got something really heavy making the machine precariously balanced, then you have to change the way you'd move it so it doesn't crush someone who can't stay out of the way if a chain were to break or load shift in mid-movement making it swing out of control.

That guy...hands in pocket, no hardhat, not watching the load. Walks, pretty much, right UNDER the fucking load. That guy sucks. He'd be fired in a second if he worked on a job-site here.>> ^BicycleRepairMan:

I am actually shocked he got as far as he did.. and he would be fine if he lowered it quickly, but frankly there aint no way in hell I would lift those multi ton trailers with that gimpy little fork lift with NO COUNTERBALANCE. That thing was a little toy!
