A "trophy" video appearing to show security guards in Baghdad randomly shooting Iraqi civilians has sparked two investigations after it was posted on the internet, the Sunday Telegraph can reveal.
The video has sparked concern that private security companies, which are not subject to any form of regulation either in Britain or in Iraq, could be responsible for the deaths of hundreds of innocent Iraqis.
The video, which first appeared on a website that has been linked unofficially to Aegis Defence Services, contained four separate clips, in which security guards open fire with automatic rifles at civilian cars. All of the shooting incidents apparently took place on "route Irish", a road that links the airport to Baghdad.

not snuff... I still stand by the assessment that for a video to be snuff it has to have been produced with the intent to somehow profit financially from the death shown in the vid. Accidental deaths, wartime death, assassinations, etc should not fall into this category.

Besides, the more people who see this kind of shit the better, because yeah, it just might change how things are being done in Iraq.

or maybe if anyone stopped to think they'd realise they shoot anyone following them too closely, after warning shots and they have a sign which reads to the effect of "dont follow within x meters or we'll shoot you". - they have to assume the people following them are suicide bombers (which does happen). -- dont get me wrong, alot of bad shit does happen in iraq, and alot of it is digusting, but this video isnt one of them.

This video is well over a year old and has been all over the internet. We are now halfway through a "troop surge" that is doing nothing. If people don't know what is going on by now, they don't want to know, or are just too lazy to find out. There are a whole SHITLOAD of Americans who are very happy and comfortable remaining accommodatingly ignorant (hello, sirex). I wanted to downvote this because I found the behavior of the troops despicable. I upvoted it for the very same reason. I've seen so many examples of crap like this, some here at VS, that I wonder if many of our troops just aren't as well-trained and disciplined as we'd like to believe. If that pisses you off... I don't care.

the reason you need to understand why they do this is because its portrayed in the media with extreme bias. Bad stuff does happen there, but dont get to thinking every guy with a gun over there is itching to shoot up some civies for their kicks.

It's not clear in the video if anyone is actually killed, or if their cars are just shot up for no reason. So it's not neccesarily snuff. In fact it looks like this behavior is standard practice just to force cars to keep distance! And sometimes just for fun. It's insane.

This is exactly the kind of thing people should see. No its not Snuff. For anyone who down votes it or tries to get rid of this video, all you are doing is promoting ignorance and censorship. People should be aware of what goes on over there.
No its not a perfect world. War happens People die needlessly. If no one ever knew about this than they would never have been investigated or brought to justice. The fact that this video is out here show other people who might see it that a message. And I think that message is that power corrupts. these people had military backing to be there. they were also civilian.
They had rights that the soldiers did not. They also had military protection. these assholes thought they had a right to do that shit. Obviously they were wrong. And they just furthered the image of western pigs to the locals. For all we know they added a year onto that war. Way to go guys.
