Oh, and I'm a Christian. Just the left-leaning, corporatized mega-church hating, cult-busting, prosperity-gospel rejecting, only care for Jesus'-deed-as-example kind of follower. Not the wield-Jesus-as-an-oppression-stick, "I'm an Evangelical, I have ALL the Rights!"-kind of proud & loud, shameless hypocrite (at least try as damn hard not to, I do have weaknesses) that we unfortunately see waaaaay too much in American power circles.

I'm a Canadian, and I'm super glad here in the Great White North (not so much anymore...), separation of church & state is strong. I think I'm probably not a "Christian" by most American's standard...

My rule of thumb for politicians is dead simple. Those that bring out their Christianity all the time NEVER gets my vote. It simply means they have no deeds, policies, visions to speak of and most likely is using God as a shield to hide their misdeeds and inactions.

What would you do if one day you discovered YOU were God (The Creator) all along?

Who defunded publicly funded mental health facilities? R
Who put billions into fighting gangs? D
Who fights against making it harder for criminals to get guns, harder to track where guns are, and harder for law enforcement to take them? R

You’re again lying, maybe to yourself. Democrats have fought for these issues since I’ve been alive, and Republicans have fought against solving them in any way. Republicans don’t care, and don’t believe in prayer (and can no longer think). Democrats have actual plans to improve if not solve these issues that Republicans block at every single turn.

I'm no different from everyone on earth. If I'm a Creator, then everyone has the same right to be a Creator.

See, although I'm a Christian - which I define as agreeing and following Jesus' vision and work. All those non-scientific Old Testament, New Testament resurrection, Heaven & Hell, post-death promises stuff I leave it as Faith. I don't classify a baptised church-goer as Christian.... CIt's stupid taking in the Bible in strict literal sense. So many contradictions, the truth is the Bible was oral history passed down to generations of ancient writers, made inconsistent by translations and interpretations and other cultural & historical factors. A sensible person that can think criticially need to understand the backgrounds and intent. Don't be lazy and don't buy wholly into words coming out of pastors' mouths. You have people with lots of personal, ulterior motives to call themselves Christians. I don't buy any of those crap... nor care for any association with those people. Again, gotta pass the smell test.

We all as human being need to put organized religion, and the auxiliary religious fanaticism, where it belong, while not realistically possible to the dust bin (it's too useful a device for war, conflict, greed & power for those that seek them), but at least to a place where it does not harm. Right now, and since the dawn of time, organized religions all over the world did a lot of the opposite and never owning up to it.

Right.... it's exactly racists, far-right fanatics like these people that organized religions of any significant size should be eliminated in the eye of a decent person, reglious or not.

Even though the current Pope Francis (very progessive for a Catholic) recently came up here in Canada for a “penitential pilgrimage” to say "sorries" to the natives that were forced into boarding schools for decades that tried to erase their history, culture, language, ripping children away from their parents by force and caused thousands upon thousands of unrecorded deaths, his actions & tangible response for reparation & restoration amounted to very little. He didn't have the courage to call it a genocide in public, but caught saying so in a hot mic in his plane ride back to Italy... NOT GOOD ENOUGH.
