so far so good. I liked the trailer

Certainly not the best thing ever, but more than enough to make me interested. But lately I've been going less and less to the movies. I mean... Bluray + 50 inch plasma HD? Who needs to put up with annoying people in the theaters? Too bad the dvd and bluray editions take a few months to come out after the movie.
I did watch Iron Man 2 at home with Bluray, and I don't look back.

I'm pretty sick of the people at theatres too. Have been for a long time, but to my decreasiung amazement, the general level of comportment continues to drop further.

The cinema has become like public transport... you're in among an element that has no means of its own. Insecure, inconsiderate, impolite fucking idiots.

Would love to watch a movie without someone's feet up on the seat next to me. That's my current pet peeve. The second you start to get absorbed in the movie, jackass behind you shifts his weight and your whole seat vibrates. Makes you long for the old days where seats were uncomfortable but at least somewhat separate. Kicking the seat next to me wasn't the same as kicking my seat, the way it is now.

Need more cgi muscles. Not a fan of 3D...glasses are ridiculous and makes me feel like I'm going cross-eyed sometimes. Which makes an almost typically abysmal theater going experience that much more annoying, thusly, I'll rent it on Netflix when it comes out.

It's OK. Not excited to see it. I will wait for home release unless it is that good.

I also agree going to movie theaters is not fun and so expensive. I do like to go to expensive and farther theaters like Arclight Dome, El Capitan, etc. because they are a lot better compared to local AMC and Regal theaters. I rarely go to movie theaters anyways so I save for good movies.

People at the theater are fun! That's the point of the experience. Cheering, screaming at the scary scenes, laughing, awws and maybe a little crying by someone off in the the far corner of the theater. Oh man, I love that stuff. I used to think I hated humanity, but I fucking love it and all because of theaters. Little babies GET THE FUCK OUT. I will have your mother escorted out by a theater worker because I give a shit about this experience. I will see it in 3D and pretend I'm a kid in the 1950s and that I didn't just spend 15 bucks on a movie ticket. Silver fucking lining and just good ol fun, alright?

Crowd involvement is not the point of the cinematic experience. Sure, appropriate crowd reaction can enhance a good movie. But bad crowd behaviour can turn any movie into a pressure cooker of rage for me.

Movement of feet is the most annoying thing to me lately. Not just kicking my seat, but people putting their feet up in your field of view and then kicking/wiggling them around for the whole GD movie. I might be wired a bit differently, I know my memory's a bit more visual than most people... Let's just say my memory of the last Indiana Jones movie, and that movie Knowing from last year, among others, are permanently etched with an overlay of dumb-ass feet kicking around. At Crystal Skull some guy with like size 14 feet had just bought brand new bright white sneakers. He kicked his fucking foot so frenetically, and with a varying rhythmn that I just COULD NOT ignore out of the corner of my eye. When I asked him to stop he just said "what the fuck" and continued. So I spent the second half of that movie weighing the costs and benefits of an aggravated assault charge. Not enjoyable!

How awful is the theater you go to that you can see feet and people kick your seat? I never see shoes and my seat is never kicked. No stadium seating or what?>> ^budzos:

It's not really rumoured any more, it was long since announced and Robert Downey Jr and Chris Evans have already done interviews about the movie.

It's probably one of the most ambitious franchise projects I've heard of in a while and includes the following films:

Iron Man 2

and then:

Thor
Captain America: The First Avenger
Nick Fury
The Avengers

There's potential for a Hawkeye movie in the same vein but none has been announced.

Samuel L. Jackson and Clark Gregg will be in four of the movies (Nick Fury isn't mentioned for Thor, and Agent Coulson isn't mentioned for Captain America).

It's very unlikely that Spiderman and Wolverine will make appearances; although separate for both are in the works, but as separate entities.

The Wolverine is being directed by Darren Aronofsky so it'll probably have quite a different tone; and despite Hugh Jackman being scheduled to play it looks like it will be a departure from the X-Men movies (ie, ignoring the disappointing X-Men Origins: Wolverine). So it's unlikely in the same way you wouldn't see Christopher Nolan's Batman in a Justice League movie alongside Ryan Reynolds as the The Green Lantern.

Either or both might get a nod though, but neither are fundamental to the Avengers anyway.

The Hulk is scheduled to appear and is much more important to the Avengers, but I guess there's many good reasons there's no spin off movie

/me not as interested in this as it sounds
