Why must this always be put in a 'men hitting women' scenario? How about women shouldn't slap men either, and men should not slap men, and women should also not slap women. Does it really need to be broken down by sex? I can't imagine why.

As ridiculous as it sounds, this is just perpetuating the stereotype that women shouldn't be hit because they're weak and fragile. All the reactions are based on her gender, except for that one kid who had the balls to say he's against violence.

I had that same reaction. I felt odd the entire time that she's just standing there like a slab of beef for them to look at and touch. "Look at this thing we brought out for you. Do you like it?
