enochLOL...no really..wait till you have kids, then you may understand more.
while i am not condoning dragging your child through a store due to his/her hissy fit..i DO understand maybe why you did it.
each one of my boys had a hissy fit once......ONCE.
there was never any need for me to drag them anywhere, all i had to say was "if i have to tell you one more time to get up" and like magic they could feel their legs again!
its a miracle!praise jesus!!
gwiz665I'd leave it and get a new one at the store.
Sketch^ The contract must be up on this one.
ReverendTedI'm not a parent, so I can't speak from experience, but I'd like to think I wouldn't tolerate that kind of behavior. However, I support the parent's actions in that they're not exactly giving in or bargaining, either. The child isn't being harmed.
And it's not a leash, it's a "harness", and my mother never had one for me. Especially not one made of bright yellow nylon.
StealthNuckLooks like she's dragging it to returns.
QuadraPixelsays...Ha ha! That's Awesome!
vyka11says...My mom would've just smiled and said "Guess what happens to you when you get home." The mere statement of future events was far worse than any mini-carnival ride this kid got to go on.
couplandsays...Any parent who looks at this instantly thinks "That's awful!" And of course their very next thought is "YEAH!!!!!"
ravermanCould be worse. Could be swinging the kid around the head rather than just dragging![](https://videosift.com/vs5/emoticon/smile.gif)
spoco2I upvote for the discussion, not the video.
To try to highlight this as doing anything particularly wrong to the child is obviously done by someone who's never had them. They can drive you friggen nuts with their tantrums, especially in public like this.
At home, you can just go somewhere else and let them tantrum themselves out (They tend to die down nicely with no attention), but if you're out and about and actually have things to do... then well, you don't have the time to leave them in a crowded shop and cry their tantrum out.
So... while it's not the best example of what to do, it's completely understandable.
She's not hitting him, screaming at him or anything here...
My only real issue is that he might actually enjoy this and so arc up again in the future just to get 'the ride' again.
bamdrewShe should invest in a restraint trolley, like 'silence of the lambs'.
Would be healthier for her back.
bamdrewJust watched this again and noticed the child doesn't move... reminded me of 'the spy' in team fortress
BananularHe's gonna get rugburn like a motherfucker. I got dragged like that once when I was little and I got to miss a day of school since my parents had to cover my back in gauze pads. Not fun.
rogueWRXWoman arrested on child cruelty charge
by Jeff Gable
An Alabama woman was arrested Tuesday afternoon after police say she injured a child while dragging it through a store in Rome.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Melissa Catherine Smith-Means, 37, of Gaylesville, Ala., was arrested by Rome police around 12:30 p.m. She was charged with felony first-degree cruelty to children.
Police say she was observed by customers and employees at a store on Broad Street, dragging a small child around by a backpack leash. The child had visible marks on the neck from the incident.
She remains in jail without bail.
RedSkyI support abortion.

nach0ssays...If you like having sex without a condom, please watch this video over and over. You may be more careful in the future.
spoco2The child had visible marks on the neck from the incident.
Hmm, ok, if he was actually hurt by this, to the point of marks no less, then maybe she was indeed crossing the line. It was hard to tell from the video, as it always is in these non contextualized things. You don't see the lead up or the aftermath.
I guess she really was hurting him... therefore not good. Even when you're furious with your kid and may be dragging them forcibly through a store by their hand or whatever, you are doing your best to not actually hurt them, and stop if you do... if she had lost sight of the regard for his wellbeing, then yeah, that's some shitty parenting.
turboj0esays...HOOOOOOOLY SHIT
ponceleonPshhh... growing up I got the belt. This kid has it EASY.
ForgedRealitysays...It IS a shining example of parenting excellence. The motherfucker is whining for attention and to get what it wants. She isn't giving in, and that's good. Kids these days are spoiled little brats and it's nice to see some fucking discipline. Hell, that's not even discipline. I'd bet money the kid is having fun sliding around on the floor. Shit, he doesn't even have to walk! Day in the park.
Sometimes kids need to be shown who is the boss. Why the hell are so many people afraid to assert themselves as parents these days? You let your kid walk all over you, and you'll be introducing some fucked up pieces of shit into society.
