In an effort to convince you to watch this video until completion let me tell you that this performance builds to an insanely amazing crescendo and is worth every second of your time.

For the record, this is Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto in D, Op. 35, 3rd Movement.

What's sad is that a frat boy who knows 3 guitar chords will have an easier time getting laid in college than this kid with his amazing баян skillz.

He would totally kick ass at Starcraft.

Amazing. Simply amazing. It's obviously technically demanding, but he shows great musicality in his treatment of the piece as well. I wonder how many hours a day he practices and who his teacher his and who transcribed the piece for his instrument. That's not something you just plop down and start reading the score/violin part.

I hope he won the talent contest.

Didn't actually like the piece at all (never been one for Tchaikovsky), but the sheer amount of skill he has is phenomenal and he really handles the piece beautifully. Very very nice.

And he has it memorized, too. Wow.

I'd upvote anyway but I got a laugh out of the ballons tag... =)

Just for a bit of balance, I'd like to say due to the comments I forced myself to watch until about 5minutes, then I skipped through and was only mildly entertained.

As amazing as this is, I still chuckle at his little butt cheek dance shuffle at 4:13.

Any girl who dismisses this kid as being uncool should take another look at how fast his finger work is and think about how well he'd treat a girl, considering how much he loves his баян.

I checked out his other videos on youtube and they are amazing. He is like the harmonica player from Blues Traveler, but with the accordion.
