Police Murder Oklahoma Man Terence Crutcher *Graphic Death*

Police on the way to a call come across a man with a stalled car. He approaches the officer, who apparently directs him to return to his car, then instantly goes on the radio to lie that she can't see his hands and he's not obeying commands (seen and heard in other, non embeddable videos). Unfortunately for her, numerous videos contradict her claim that he was hiding his hands or acting aggressively, and even if he was, they had tasers trained on him, why murder him?
This is a pure murder in my opinion, and the lies told by officers should make it a capital crime.

I totally agree With all the cops killing blacks for fun you would think the best way not to get shot is to comply and not walk away. Guess this fellow did not pass the test.

I'm surprised they don't have a minimum intelligence test for policework, because that's completely retarded.

Well, except for the ones that complied and got shot anyway.

I'm an Oklahoman. Of course I am appalled, but sadly, not surprised. Law enforcement in this state is incredibly biased and corrupt. I told a friend about 6 months ago that it was just a matter of time before we saw a case like this here. He laughed at me. No one's laughing now.

The Fraternal Order of Police endorsed Trump.

I think that tells you everything you need to know about their racial politics and the racial politics of police in general in the US.

bobknight33says...

Well IF Obama/ Clinton would stop slandering them then they might have kept the endorsement.

There must have been something that happened before this right? Why are 4+ cops with guns drawn and helicopter pointing on the guy?

It doesn't seem normal to have that kind of force for a stalled car.

Why they didn't taser him instead though, that is weird.

newtboysays...

From reports, they were responding to another call when they came upon the stalled car in the middle of the road.
Also from tv reports, they did use a taser at the same moment she shot him.

According to the news, the car was still running, and the man was saying that the car was going to blow earlier(according to the 911 call).

So I'm guessing they thought the car could have explosives in it because of the call, and the way it was parked.

Would be interesting to hear what was wrong with the car. Because it's possible that the car simply overheated and that's why he said "it's going to blow". And the 911 caller just took it out of context.

Also we'll never know if he did or didn't attempt to reach into the SUV (which had it's windows down) because the helicopter was on the wrong side during the crucial moment.

The families lawyers showed in a press conference that the window, splattered with blood, is all the way up. Hard to have blood splatter on a window that's down.

It's hard to tell in the video, but if I had to guess, the window does look like it's all the way up.

Very few people want more dead cops, we want fewer dead citizens at the hands of the cops.....WAY fewer.
That said, turnabout is fair play, and in a citizen VS cop death, it's 25 times more likely that the cop kills the citizen than vice versa. Until that statistic is reversed, cops have no reasonable complaint to make.
If any armed citizen can be considered a threat that may be killed for no other reason, what makes cops any different? They are not only all armed, but also aggressive, confrontational, and have proven to be deadly. Any citizen should have the same rights to self defense against them, with a LOWER threshold of threat required, after all, citizens don't have training, backup, bulletproof vests, or prosecutors on their side.

TangledThornssaid:

The anti-cop rhetoric will lead to more of them being assassinated like we saw earlier this Summer. BLM dont care about dead cops, do they?

Briguy1960says...

Well said Newtboy .

They resemble gangs / thugs more often than not anymore with absolutely no problem fabricating lies to try cover up the truth every time someone gets killed.
I'm no fan of lies coming from the left or right, cop lover or cop hater so starting with the telling the truth police.

Cops shouldn't be considered a threat because they have been appointed by the government to uphold the law. The success of that is definitely up for debate, but to suggest that citizens should be fighting cops is absurd. That will only lead to more deaths.
(The solution is for the system to weed out the bad cops, the incompetent ones, the corrupt ones, the power tripping, racist, trigger happy etc).

Most cops do the right thing, most of the time. The millions of police encounters each day where nothing has gone wrong don't make the news.

I think it's worth considering what the any country would be like without law enforcement. We know what it would be like - hurricane Katrina - complete chaos on the streets, far worse than these shootings. Assuming your goal is to have fewer people shot and murdered, then having a police force is the best way we know of. However for that to work we need a competent police force that is there to serve and protect.

There definitely needs to be a system were police are made accountable to make sure stuff like this video does happen, or even non-lethal situations where citizens are being harassed. There are number of ways to do this. But my suggestions is that if you want to argue with someone, don't do it while they're holding a gun at you. Wait until you get to the station and call your lawyer. It's not perfect, but at your chances of getting shot will drop dramatically.

Shouldn't, but because they so consistently kill unarmed people, then support the killings with a blue wall, the success is no longer up for debate, they're failing. That doesn't mean they don't do good, or should be abolished, it means eradicating the culture of 'us vs them' that comes FROM police at every turn....starting with prosecutions. I'm glad to see that's the case here.
Agreed, there needs to be a system of third party oversight, or special prosecutors for all police misconduct cases, and prosecutions for obstruction for officers that don't help in those prosecutions.
Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, can protect an African American male from being shot by police....hands up don't shoot has gotten a pretty large number killed since it became a slogan. Nothing but being a non black male decreases your chances of being shot...not even being 12.

Cops should have to justify pulling their gun at all, it should trigger an alert at the station and start a live stream from their cameras, accessible by the public (but maybe with a day's delay so there's no chance of interference) which should be always on and a felony to tamper with. I can't fathom why the body cams can turn off, or why they aren't live streamed to a public server...the videos are public property, like any product of a public servant.
