shuacsays...Cheaply-bought platitudes, BB. Don't fall for it. Jay's still a dickhead.
bareboards2says...Oh, I don't know. He usually is so fakey show biz. I felt like I actually got to see HIM for a change.
He is ambitious, yes, and willing to do what he needs to do to feed that monster. But his mother loves him. He isn't just that.

bareboards2says...And I LOVE how her "joke" doesn't even get a pity laugh.
HAHAAHHAHAHHAAHHAAHHAHAHAHA
JiggaJonsonsays...It's truely pathetic to see her skirt around this issue.
You would think that it would be a point of pride. Instead, because deep down she knows that there is something wrong with what she has been doing/supporting, the shame of that kept her from being open about it here.

You want to see him, you should watch a Car show with him in it. Thats jay. Jay the car guy.
critical_dsays...Best part is at :26 when she does a Porky Pig trying to justify here hate.
dystopianfuturetodaysays...Not a fan of Jay, but props to him for bringing this up.
shagen454says...Like I always point out about right-wing "thinkers" is this topic of gay marriage and how it applies to their "small government". Considering enforcing your own morality on others pretty much constitutes as BIG government.
They love big government when it comes to enforcing their religious ideologies but hate big government when it's about regulating the rich & huge corporations. The fallacy is easy to pinpoint; who owns the right-wing? A bunch of poor lie eating religious morons unable to form opinions on their own & huge corporations that buy & feed the message to the dumb-masses. Please, don't be apart of the dumb mass.
Jinxsays...The "ballsy" thing would have been to not have her and her backwards opinions on the show at all.
VoodooVsays...The optimist in me continues to believe that even the far right is starting to realize they aren't going to win on this issue and know that more and more people are accepting of homosexuality so in a truly political move, they are finally distancing themselves from the gay issue because you can only use it for a wedge issue for so long....if enough people are accepting of homosexuality, they're going to lose if they campaign against it.
So they're still raging homophobes who believe praying away the gay is a viable solution, very little is going to change that, but it seems as though they might be forfeiting the issue in the political arena
shponglefansays...Wasn't it also law for many years that women couldn't vote or hold office? Wonder how Bachmann would feel about that one.

I think that's giving her entirely too much credit. She had plenty of time for soul searching while she was profiting from her clinic's 1 on 1 gay shame sessions. But her campaign consultants have advised her that, while this sort of bigotry won't hurt her in the republican primaries, it might in the general election. Her discomfort is political calculation, nothing more respectable.

I respectfully disagree. Her opinion (and it's not just hers, many hold it) is a problem, and ignoring a problem doesn't make it go away. He challenged her and gave her a chance to justify herself, and she failed. This may have been his intent, and if so, I say kudos Jay.
Lawdeedawsays...I hate left handed sinners. Just sayin.

Um...just fine probably. Because if that were so she would be living in a different world and the basis would be the bible--which she uses to justify her hate right now. And let's face it, as long as her husband was bringing home the bacon, she would be A-OK with it.

agreed. This is a woman who has admitted that she submits to what her husband wants. She didn't want to go into law. But hubby/god commanded it so....
Quite honestly, I wouldn't worry about it. She's not going to win the Republican nomination. She's too crazy even for the Reps.

Sunlight is the best disinfectant.
SpaceOdditysays...Although I love seeing Bachmann squirm, I don't perceive Jay being a champion here.
Don't for a second think he said what he said without running it thru some kind of demographic/ratings analysis. It was totally softball, which makes CrazyEyes2011™ look even more pathetic by comparison.
Cue "conservative" backlash against the Tonight Show and a written statement from NBC apologizing like the dickless, sycophantic bastards all major network execs are.
notarobotsays...I've never heard the left-handed metaphor Leno used before. Very well put.
