Unfortunately his newest film (Which is prettymuch just his daughter and her friend) is getting terrible reviews.

Kevin, however, made light of the situation by tweeting "Tired of being around people? Looking to find somewhere you can be utterly alone? Then go see my movie @YogaHosers - in theaters TOMORROW!"

Definitely seems to have gotten over his fear / hatred of critics. Which is awesome, because honestly I love that man.

I loved Kevin Smith back in the Clerks days (hell, I even thought Mallrats had its moments).

Less of a fan these days, but hard not to smile at that. Dude may not have lived up to his initial promise as a filmmaker, but I'm with @Sheppard, he's just a frickin' awesome human being.

Kevin Smith is an awesome guy. ...A bit hit or miss as a filmmaker to my personal tastes (I *hated* Tusk), but he's still awesome.

Stuff like this where it is just him being himself makes for excellent entertainment. His "lecture" tour videos at universities "An Evening with Kevin Smith" are great.

I would watch a movie of just Kevin Smith telling stories.

If you rule out Bible characters, that cuts out a *lot* of the most common western names.

As anti-xtian as I am, I'd rather see "John" or "Mark" than "Jayden" or "Aiden"...

John, Joseph, Peter, Mary, Adam, Aaron, Jacob, Anna, Andrew, Mark / Marcus, Thomas, and NIMROD THE HUNTER. These are all perfectly fine names.

They have those. They're called "An evening with Kevin Smith"

I am kind of glad he got back into it.
Even if he is making crappy films they have character.

His best is still by far...Dogma.
Having damon and affleck play off each other in that movie is brilliant.
They were awesome in their cameos on Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back...the best stoner movie...EVER.

It immediately reminded me of Harlequin Romances (hmm wonder what that means for me?). Anyway it just came off as kind of a dumb name to be burdened with. In other news, Isis has becomes a lot less popular as a baby name recently.

I don't comment much, so this really drew me in....

I have 2 daughters, one who is already 24 and is following in my footsteps (silly Linux system admin).... There isn't anything I would do for my kids. This is so heartwarming, I could cry, and you wouldn't want to see a 47 y/o man cry, it is just disgusting....

Never been a fan of this guy, but to support your kids to no extent is pretty heart warming. Excuse me, I have to go tell them how much I love them.
