Okay, I can accept that some crabs live inside other crabs. But how the hell is crab inside bigger than the one on the outside? Crabs do not make sense!

Think butterfly wings coming from inside a chrysalis and you'll get the idea.

Trivia bit: northeastern American Lobsters are actually a much better deal just before they molt, because just after they shed their skin they contain a lot less meat and a lot more shell, so you get less eatin' out of them. Generally the harder the shell, the closer they are to the next molt, and the more meat you get per pound of overall weight.

I've been avoiding this video because I figured, "Meh, so the crab tosses his shell - big deal, happens all the time in nature..."

Now that's it's at number 2, I watched it - I was in no way expecting the legs to come out - I thought it would just be the body piece - That was crazy and a little freaky - I hate spiders - If I ever came face to face with one of those while swimming, (not that I would) - I would panic and swallow my tongue under water...

and if you look in the bottom left of the video, there's a mussel sexually harassing another mussel.

Yeah, I've caught spider crabs on the beach before. Largest I ever found was around 2 feet across. That thing is not 12 feet.

Also, like somebody already mentioned, those mussels would each feed a small African village if that thing were 12 feet across.

Yes, as as species the Japanese Spider Crab is huge, but this one isn't. I still call bullshit, that crab is 2ft - 3ft leg span at most.
