Wow, this looks great. All the great SF is popping up in video games. Reminds me of an Alastair Reynolds novel.

The original Video file has a much better quality and no they aren't re-releasing the game..

They really should redo the game. It's odd that this video just popped up here now, I reinstalled Freelancer a couple weeks ago for the first time since it came out. Weird coincidence

It really is good stuff, they ought to do it properly as an MMO.

Freelancer was fun, but way way too easy.

It was kinda easy, but really fun. I may have to reinstall it now. So few games hold my interest nowadays. And it's not THAT old. 2003.

Yeah and Privateer was just a pretty upgrade to Elite.... I love all those games. Sooooo good. I played the hell out of all the Privateers and wing commanders and what was that one with Jets by Chris Robertson? Anyway fun memories.

around 2:59 and on is the "new unofficial" vid. Everything prior was in the old game. Still love booting that game up every now and then
