First, lemme take a selfie

Commentators on sorority girls taking selfies at a baseball game.

Yeah, I think live baseball games are pretty boring too. I like baseball, though. It would be great if they'd release edited down versions like they do with cricket matches. I bet the games would edit down to about 20 minutes of actual play.

Here in Canada Sportsnet, the cable channel that broadcasts Bluejays games, runs a program called Bluejays in 30, which is the days game edited down to 30 minutes. Quite handy for those that can't invest 3 hours every day to watch the whole games.

Lemme take a selfie

BicycleRepairMansays...

On the other hand, THIS video was like 90% girls taking selfies and 10% baseball, which probably means very little was actually happening in the game at that moment. These girls seemed to be paying just as much attention to the game as the commentators for the duration of this clip. pot, meet kettle.

That said: selfies are stupid. Never take a selfie. ever. forever. that goes for everyone.

Lawdeedawsays...

Except they point out shit like, "Hey, you can talk to your friends next to you or completely ignore them." Which was great. It makes the announcers actually sociologists, whereas the girls are dumb fucks who just breath...

If you were a hot girl, you'd take selfies 100% of the time. And you'd add sepia tone and then publish it to your Instagram, followed by your facebook, and then tweet it for hot guy reactions. Come on, you know you would, you silly repair girl.

And now for the rest of the story....

Thanks for that.

(I'm such a judgmental dick ) My apologies to the young ladies.

Update on the story.
https://medium.com/@kellyholmes/what-those-silly-selfie-girls-taught-me-a6085d9f1c20
Seems there was a contest to tweet selfies as part of a contest at the stadium, which the girls then participated in, doing what was asked of them. Fox and the Diamondbacks apologized for "shaming" the girls and offered free tickets which they declined, instead wanting the tickets to go to families of victims of abuse.

RFlaggsays...

I can't confirm there was a contest or something going on, but I have found other stories noting the girls were apologized to by the team and Fox Sports and that they did indeed ask for the tickets be donated to the New Leaf charity. The girls confirm it on their Facebook https://www.facebook.com/axoasu/posts/950038358385816.

It probably does explain why they were making faces and being goofy for so long.

I never knew there was blow back for it. It did eventually seem the announcers got carried away by going on and on about it, but I thought it was more in jest than them actually feeling that way.

And I upvoted and laughed too... indeed may have shared the video elsewhere.
